i don't know how i didn't think of this combination earlier, I've been playing electric bass for 11 years and cello/upright bass in orchestra for 10 years (7 years cello then switched to bass), it sounds WONDERFUL!

I am a bass player for myself, but this concert sounds somehow strange to me - like a fusion piece for an orchestra with some bass solo lines. But I have big respect for the player and the composer.

I mean it’s 100% fusion, sounds kinda like some japanese game music fusion (nintendo stuff for example) where they have orchestral elements mixed with band instruments.

I’m a bass player and saxophone player. When you put an electric bass in an orchestra, it’s a fusion of music styles for sure! Even the tenor sax solo is played in fusion style, not the soft legato orchestral sax sounds. I’m here for it! 😂 It’s awesome! Music is an art and can be what you make of it or dream up!
