Loved Rodney and the Dillards! Around 1968 saw them front for George Carlin at the Cellar Door in D.C. One of the best shows ever! Saw them twice there. Rodney had a little harmonica he stuffed inside his mouth and played. They told great stories and made great music!

Hey Rodney, I met you and your music in 1966 in San Diego when you were performing at the NTC (Naval Training Center). Story told was that you learned to play a harmonica with no hands while sitting in the outhouse. Part of the entertainment were the stories your group shared. Glad to see you are still around and having fun

Wanted to say I looked on KZbin at the songs from Andy Griffith. The Dillards “the Darlings” doing the various songs. I’m in my 70’s. When I was a young child, remember one of my grandmother singing some of these songs She was certainly a country grandmother. Specially remember Ole Dan Tucker, Hole in the bottom of the sea. We live in rural central-southern Missouri

Hey, Rodney. Thank you for restoring the Dillard Farm. I think about my Grandpa Stacy's farm, where I grew up, all the time. So many great memories of you and your family sitting outside and picking beautiful bluegrass music. I remember your Father dancing and playing the fiddle, your Grandmother living in the trailer next to the house, and just a great overall family environment. The Dillard Farm is very special to me and I'm just a neighbor, lol. Thanks again!

Enjoyed your talents Rodney. Your a wholesome good hearted and down to earth fella. I wonder if you are the last of dying breed. A true good ole boy. My wife and I saw you down at silver dollar city lots of years ago. You talked to me like an old friend. I'll never forget thinking that this ole boy is a golden soul. God bless ya sir. I wish you and yours the best. George Goff.

I love and watch the Andy Griffith show 360 nights a year. The Darlings were a big part of it. I guess Mountain Wedding and The Darlings are coming are 2 favorite but love them all. I have the complete DVD set (second time around) I go to bed pop the DVD in that sits 3 feet away Munch apples and go back in time. The Darlings jumping out of the Hotel window by rope is priceless. Amazing instrument and singing talent. Rodney is such a down to earth person wish I could meet you. Love Brother from Ontario Canada!!!
