I haven't watched one of your bl9gs for ages, this was the perfect one to come back too! As well as soap nuts, you can try white vinegar instead of fabric softener, it's really excellent for towels which you should never use fabr8c softener with as it reduces their absorbency or anything that has got really stinky. I also use it, in a spray bottle, in a 50% dilution with water as an all-purpose cleaner. It's so much cheaper and healthier than the commercial products. I also keep sodium bicarbonate in the cupboard to use for extra cleaning power when necessary. I went on holiday recently to Deux-Sèvres here in France, to an area known as La Venise Verte, due to the vast network of medieval irrigation canals known as marais. We took our kayaks and I thought of you and your vlogs once or twice! It was very peaceful, very beautiful and very green. This is a strange question because I know that Canada is a vast place but I feel compelled to ask, just out of curiosity, Rodney, have you ever met the Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl McPhee? I have this sense that you would really like each other! You're both awesome people :)

I bought one of those window bird feeders, birds never came to it... so hubby and I built a catio for the furry twins !

When the main feeder empties, they'll sometimes venture over, but they are hard to spot.

You're welcome for the bison/buffalo/buffos! They probably help the foreign tourists who come for Anne but think in Canada they should also be able to see cowboys, Indians, and buffalo alongside our igloos :) I just found out about your vlogs last night - started at the beginning and can't believe I'm already up to episode 46, enjoying them so much!

Actually, they are bison (American bison, as there is also a European bison). True buffalo are old world animals--Cape buffalo, water buffalo. Although the bison (or American bison) is also called "buffalo" or American buffalo, that is technically incorrect.
