Love that there’s a renewed commitment to Cadets from the USAF and CAP to actually train them to become pilots. I wish we had these opportunities when I was a cadet in the early 90s. Hopefully, we can start to do more of this for cadets in our squadron here in Hilo. I need more CC time to take my F91 for TP. I aim to get my instrument rating next followed by COM and CFI. From there I would definitely volunteer for this program.

Good stuff here. I always wanted to be a military pilot but wore contacts and the military went NOPE. Wanted to join the AF a year after HS but dad went NOPE not until you attend college. I learned later I could become a pilot with glasses and still go to the airlines so a few years ago I went and chased that dream! I really like the whole CAP idea and think taking young people up and showing them the ropes is a great idea. I had no idea about CAP as a kid and I think there definitely needs to be more awareness of it. I know there is a local place here but they meet when I am at work every week. Keep on flying and showing the young guys!

This must be the 172 it looks a little smaller than the 182 (I’ve had both of my 2 O-Flights in a 182) but good job 👍✈️

Thanks. You, the Skyhawk is about 20% smaller than the mighty Skylane. But it’s great for primary training.

Nice job! Try to get that nose up a bit more in the flare. Remember that the elevator becomes less effective as the plane slows down.

It absolutely helps! The further you get into the program, the better your chances to get into USAFA increase.

@@JGT_rblx: USAF has appointment slots and progression through the cadet ranks, especially qualifying for the Spaatz award certainly gets consideration for USAF and other academies as well.

This is summer training ? For 1 week? For CAP?

The Cadet Wings Program trains cadets all year round.
why are they wearing flight suits to fly a cessna?
@RodRakic4 ай бұрын
@@ayz123_87 because CAP is an auxiliary of the USAF and that’s one of their flying uniforms. (Plus, the Air Force was paying for said flight training.)
