It would be awesome if you could a "How to Play'" version of Gabriella's parts in her songs. It would be really helpful as she just blazes past so many techniques.

Hey Ali! Your style is incredible and i just love the sound. Today i treated myself to a Cordoba F7 Paco and am starting at the very beginning of Flamenco. Have been playing guitar for a good amount of years but flamenco is just another level hey. Have you ever considered giving online lessons at all for cash? Thank you for all your help so far, you're so inspirational!

Wow Ali, This tutorial is brilliant!!!. First of all i want to say you play and teach amazingly, and i have a question about the technique. I play guitar about 6-7 years and recently i discovered the world of flamenco and i was astonished. I learned The triplet that you teach in the video as "rasgueado" from another source on the internet, and i also strated to get into, "picado" and other the techniques. But this kind of strumming patterns i didnt see in any other guitarist playing, So are there other guitarists that play in the style, or is it unique to rodrigo y gabriela?

Wow. You are pure talent! Just saw your cover video of Tamacun, and immediately hoped you had a tutorial for the strumming up somewhere. Love how you also mentioned it took you months to get some of this. When people make stuff look as easy as you do, it often feels like one should be able to do it at first try. Nobody sees all the hours of hard work behind it all.

Thanks for this video! ...On the triplets, did you initially have trouble with your thumb on the down stroke? I’m clunky because there’s no nail involved. Is it just a matter of speed - moving the thumb faster so it travels more lightly across the top of the strings? Or do you avoid bass strings on down stroke? Thanks again!

Hey Scott, glad you like the video! To be honest, the most trouble I had with my thumb was BECAUSE I had a bit of nail (I did classical guitar and nails are a precious commodity). It used to catch the strings and either sound rubbish, hamper my playing or just plain hurt. So having no long nails is probably better. Gabriela has regular old short nails I believe! But yeah you're right, it's more a matter of speed. The quicker your thumb/fingers go, it ends up as more skating across the strings. In terms of what strings you hit, I think subconsciously I do go more treble and sometimes don't hit E or A, but not on purpose 😅 I endeavour to hit all the strings. Hope that helps!

although you had your answer already,.... tripplet is really hard, my thumb used to either not hit any string or to get stuck on E, just focus on doing it slow, (spread out you hand before downstroke) and make your strokes hit all strings you want to hit, - as she said earlier in her tutorial, it takes alot of time to speed up, and only when you speeded it up enough, it will start to work and sound correctly, - thats what ive been most frustrated on, i mean i know exactly what you mean, - i gave up and picked this technique up a year later again, and then finally did pretty fast progress, - all those single parts, like triplets you have to see as a "one move" and especially the triplet will only work if its fast enough... so just be patient do it slow 5min a day for month.... :D -> later you dont have to spread out your hand (thumb from fingers) phsysics will do its job there! (centrifugal force)

I wonder that, have you ever broken any strings when you were learning this strumming technique?

Dont know if i commented this already, but if i didnt,... its the best tutorial on this technique online imo! Gabriela, actually dont know how to explain it, she just do it, and her english skills are way worse than you accent :D

I can do the triplet alone, but I find it quite hard to do it right after the standard pattern (let's say the thing you do at 8:08). Why is that?
