The list got deleted along with my Patreon account but start with a dark orange, layering your way down to lighter oranges and yellows, and finally lighter cream for the final layers. Whichever pencils you have would be fine. The best way to learn how to use color is to work with what you have. I know people don’t like hearing that, but it’s the honest truth. ☺️

I use Rembrandt pastel sticks, Caran d’Ache and Carbothello Stabilo pencils.

Lovely video, thank you 😊 I've a question with regards to the lighter colours, white and cream. Is your camera on a specific setting that makes them look extra bright? Despite my best efforts I can't capture the same brightness in my picture. Thank you 😊

No special setting. For the creams I use Carbothello Stabilo ivory and also Conte a Paris Naples yellow.

I just got oil pastels today, blocks. I was frustrated because until I saw your video I did not know there were pastel pencils! I appreciate your narration, it is helpful not chit chat. So are oil based Polychromos the same as pastel pencils?

No, polychromos are coloured pencils. I use soft pastels as well as pastel pencils, and not oil pastels. Oil pastels are a completely different beast and a lot harder to work with than soft pastels.
