King Dedede's color variations are as follows: 1st color variation (Red): Based on his appearance in recent Kirby games, starting with Kirby Super Star. 2nd color variation (Pink): Based on his pink alternate costume in Kirby 64 and Kirby Air Ride. 3rd color variation (Green): Based on his green alternate costume in Kirby Air Ride. Has an Yarn Waddle Dee pattern on his belt, based on Kirby's Epic Yarn. 4th color variation (Purple): Based on his purple alternate costume in Kirby Air Ride. The belt is very ornately decorated, similar to those on formal Japanese kimonos. 5th color variation (Cyan): Based on a menu color scheme from Kirby 64. 6th color variation (Brown): Based on his appearance on the monochromatic Game Boy screen in Kirby's Dream Land. 7th color variation (Blue): Based on his blue alternate costume in Kirby 64. 8th color variation (Black): Based on his black alternate costume in Kirby Air Ride. May be based on an actual penguin. Also resembles an Emp from Kirby 64.
