Skipper has carried warrior on its back in wild for years now, and Odyn is actively bad for it. You win off the combo without Odyn, and adding a vanilla 8/8/8 to that mix does very little for the deck.

At 16:00 which Norgannon is that that survived? The second or the third one. The lack of dots on the copies make it hard to keep track of which abilities have been used. If it was the second one, then it still had the ability to deal 20 damage, if it was the third one then it was out of abilities

Hard to tell if the deck will perform well from this as they ARE restricted to needing 15 new cards in their decks. Also hard to tell if that style of mage deck will work in wild, it might, but who knows.

@@kramerx7518 I mean? Yeah? A deck or class can perform badly and still be not fun to play against for someone. Big Priest for a long time was an underperforming deck that wasn't all that fun to play against for a lot of folk. There are a lot of other decks and classes like that.

@@kramerx7518 Fantastic for you then. I have nothing in particular against mage. Some people are just not a fan of certain playstyles whether it be bursty burn decks, aggro, control, fatigue, mill, etc etc. No need to take offense if someone doesn't like one of those playstyles.

I just want to point out this sweet "order, lol": Attacking the Minotauren gives 5 armor to Roffle, gaining him 5 attack, which means any minion attacking him will be dealt 5 damage now. Wasn't there a 2/7 taunt with the "gain armor equal to damage" text? Might be a good inclusion in wild decks, to discourage follow up attacks.

Problem is that in standard (the format he has to play in for this event) the pieces to get insane armor are not all available. The other problem is that in wild 8 mana do nothing in a non-druid class might be a hard sell, but maybe it'll work with all the armor gain. Time will have to see.

It's all battlecries except maybe minotauren and starfish has friendly fire turned on which is why it never sees play in wild. Aggro decks really don't want to silence their own board and control decks can outright clear the board with better cards.

Well. It's more like a 10 mana pyroblast where you get an 8/8. At least for the first one? Still kindah neat. People were talking about the combo stuff in wild, but honestly just the good armor gain cards like frozen buckler might be what makes the deck decent enough. Still need to get to 8 mana and play and 8 mana do nothing, which isn't great, but with all the armor gain you might be able to survive to that point.

Honestly my take on it is even if control warrior doesn't work out this expansion they'll at least have the tools available and on the table to put together a strong control deck when other tools come out. Who knows though, maybe it'll do great. Could also be an instance where some cards later get nerfed, or buffed, and that'll push control warrior up. Hard to say either way with just these games as it is in a limited (15 new cards have to be put into the decks) format that won't really reflect the standard meta-game (and definitely not wild).

This is the pre-expansion event that blizzard hosts, and they cut the wild section out last expansion due to not enough streamers, and viewers caring about the wild section. So you'll just have to wait until the expansion drops on live to see that combo in wild.
