Alot of the cards are +1 mana of making them OP tbh, if alot of the curse cards costed 1 less the archetype would really be dominant imo, at least in standard

Abyssal curse in standard is actually mediocre, but is very funny to see -4 -5 -6 -7 in enemy turn, burn their card and make their turn completely useless, because they have to use 8 mana not to die

You almost always want to combo the curses with Brann, and that does not give you enough mana for Loatheb. Comboing the curses with Loatheb instead gives you less damage.

Also armor vendor, tour guide and backfire are no longer in standard. Another important thing to mention is that plague and defile are incredibly important to the deck, and by removing them the deck basically would auto lose to aggro

The thing Bliz wants to avoid are unfun decks. Aggro is, sadly, fun to a lot of players because its fast and simple. OTK decks appeal to theorists, like Roffle, but are quite unfun to play against. Like everything, its a balance, and I think Bliz is actually doing a pretty good job.

Abyssal curses are actually decent when the opponent underestimates the damage adding up. Though if they remove them from their hand and have any healing the deck sucks.

I think they're understatted because if you could actually compete with aggro decks on tempo with them, curses would be way oppressive, forcing the opponent to choose between losing tempo or losing life. Now, you're losing tempo by giving the curses, meaning when the opponent loses tempo to remove the curses you're kinda playing even.

This is actually really bad. If you play the curses early, you don't do enough damage and they outheal it. If you save it to combo, if your opponent is smart they just maintain 9 cards in hand, don't play anything, and let you lose to fatigue I'd add Dirty Rat to empty the opponents hand(goes well with plague and cheap minions and can disrupt combos), add neophyte and Loatheb to lock in the curses. The deck is a bit draw heavy, so I'd take out 1 backfire and rod as those are a bit too slow.
