ROG Hyperion GR701 Gaming Case Review

After what seems like an age we have finally got our hands on the ROG Hyperion GR701. The performance on the Helios was amazing so we hope this performs as well, if not better!

I just finished a build in this case / ROG Hyperion Its got a few oddities to it that can make the build tricky 1) The power supply shroud is overly complex but once you get it - you get it 2) The front fan bracket is difficult to extract and put different fans in 3) The rear exhaust fan bracket took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out Other than that it was such a joy to build in - it is top quality rock solid and takes 140 mm fans like a champ / I've got 6 x 140 mm fans and they look perfect

I have two Helios cases home and i am very satisfied. I do like the Hyperion look,it is more modern design but i am not willing to sacrifice gpu temps. Maybe the next iteration ''Hermes'' will persuade me to upgrade. So far so good with the Helios..

You need an adapter to use the second USB-C because most motherrboards don't have connectors or cables for 2 USB-C connections.

Seeing this vid for the first time. Got the same chassis I still have go get an ethernet, 2 hdmi and surge protection 6 slot extension cord all 10 ft. Got a strix build ryzen 9 4090. Wanted a dark hero or god like build but couldn't find the complete parts 😡

Have the same case on white why it’s so hard to click on the reset button? Is it normal? It’s not clicky like the power button

Just completed a build with this case, my only criticism is that the three ssd mounts behind the rgb panel are extremely tight when trying to rout the sata and power cables. Mine are quite squished.

Use M2s I got the ASUS Z790 Hero motherboard for this case and it has 5 slots for them and they are not that expensive. 1 got a 1tb for the C drive and 2 each 4tb for games, videos, music and movies so a total of 9tb in M2s.

I'm sorry I missed sending you the pictures you were asking for on Twitter. I love it as a guy with big hands this is one of the few cases that I have built in that didn't cut myself. The manual is trash I had a headache trying to figure out the wiring and I wish the hdd cage was removable but understand the purpose of it. That said this case is amazing 👏🏾

best load out review i have seen to date, awesome job for weeks i been going through for a break video on this case which is arriving tomorrow. ^.^ but the motherboard only has six sata slots ga so its all good but yes very cool break out. the spare parts box is a very nice touch. but to note if you want max airflow cooling the led panel on that side would have to be replaced with 3 more fans. but it shouldn't be an issue with my build thinking.

I'd see about opening up those triangles behind the door handles to improve the airflow. Open, those triangles look pugly to boot. Cut away the material you can't see anyway when shut. Probably have to take the front radically apart to do the work justice. Pain in the butt, but (hah!) I like the basic Cosmosesque plus MOAH! aesthetic. Something I think ROG should have done in the first place. Do they have the folk who put the "tacky" in Thermaltacky working for them now? It is half-arsed in the same way too; they've thought, but not all the way thru' in some areas. Still, a good canvas for a meaty project.

it's a great case if you custom is as your own stock it's pretty meh the big bling for the 701 case its going to cost you about 3000 just in LOOKS only for custom not the EV2 stuff thats overpriced.

That case is ugly and complicated as hell. I would never buy it. Asus should learn something from Lian li.
