I've never been able to get into Rog over Tujen. Tujen just reliably gives me so much every league, and without having to think much (or at all). This video definitely helped a lot in making Rog seem a bit less scary. It's always tough to figure out what is actually good/bad. Thanks for the info!

For me Rog is only good when you're swimming in currency. And you don't have to worry about saving some "expensive" crafts. When you need to penny pinch you lose out on some possible big hits. But he's just as likely to just miss.

@@scrambledflan5851 you can make a fortune with 10-100 c items. no need for the big hits and stuff you have to safe to be good. eventually you also hit 5 div items pretty often. especially with boots I was very consistent with good results. and some big hits, like good gloves or stuff, happen naturally during the process when you burn 200 rerolls. I think it is just as good if not better than tujen.

Tujen literality gives nothing and its more profitable to sell his rerolls. They are expensive in bulk and you only profit if you land a divine or something of that value. The normal rerolls lose you currency. Also it's so much bubblegum currency which is a pain to trade so it sits in your stashtab for a week until you feel motivated to convert excess piles of currency into divines. So you are not realising its full value immediately, which it why it effectively loses money. Anything not immediately invested into your character or divine orbs/other items that inflate, and sits in your stash tab rotting away, is lost money. Rog on the other hand gives you a very small handful of items that are all very valuable that you throw in a dump tab and lower price overtime. Most of it sells quickly. It's way less trades overall and you realise the profits much faster

@@andyfibbYou can find the mod by encountering Vagan as a Syndicate member and unveiling a melee weapon dropped by him. You can spec into Jun mission chance or use Betrayal scarabs.

If you want to get started and keep it simple in order to learn.. Ctrl-F "supp" and only craft boots, gloves, or helmets that have suppression and at least 5 mods to start with. Once you get that down, then start expanding your crafting. You can restrict yourself to suppression crafts and be very profitable, and it's a good way to learn Rog.

@@MEGATR000N If you start super simple, like suppression crafting, then it's a relatively simple matter of probabilities. 10% of your crafts will probably sell for >25c, 5% > 1div, and the rest will be bricks. It's a bit like rerolling tujen and hoping for a divine. Within 10-20 suppresion crafts, you'll be able to instantly recognize that a craft is bricked and you can scrap the item and move onto the next. Remember, start simple and expand outward once you are comfortable.

I dont know how others, but I mostly use unique chest nowdays. Dexterity characters go for lightning coil, strengh for brass dome, inteligence for doppelganger´s guise. There is a few other uniques of similar power, but the point is that unique chests offer so much defence, its hard to argue against them.

Depends on what level you end up being after finishing most of your atlas and swap to actual league mechanics. If you can easily reach lvl 90 without chain dying, save it up. If not, get some currency first on 83+

I won't discount anything Spicy is saying, but... you _need_ a Regex to do Rog. Bone rings (must have Minion damage mod or 2 other minion mods by first re-roll), 86 Dex boots, tier 1/2 Suppression, +lvls to gems ammys, 86 Spine bows. You can try for shaper/warlord/Hunter rings and belts, if you don't get an influence upgrade on your first use, abandon and move on

How many days would you say rog crafting makes sense after league start? Still good by second weekend or is it really just first week?

It's fine for at least 3 weeks. As time goes on, just get a bit pickier with what you're crafting... but Suppression, 30 movement speed, T2 life, double res boots are pretty common at Rog (typically 1-4 in a 3 hour session) and will net 1-5 divines each. There are similar crafts for gloves, hats, and jewelry that continue to yield results. If you're tired of grinding xp, Rog is relaxing and 5 div per hour (if you're not very good) or 10 div per hour (if you're decent) in week 3, IMO. I like to mix in some Rog as a break. I'm not sure how popular these ArchMage items will be, but if Sushi is right, then Rog will be even more profitable.

@@MEGATR000N You're very correct on that... similar for ArchMage items. Suppression crafts are simply a good, narrow, profitable starting point if Rog is overwhelming. Any evasion base can roll a suppression suffix. As soon as you're comfortable with Rog crafting, it's wise to expand into item sets in which you understand the market. For me, I generally stick to ranger items and attribute stacker items. I might branch into mana items for this league due to the ArchMage stuff.

No, why would we be? League mechanics still shit out heaps of currency, stuff like legion, heist, delirium, sanctum etc are still in the game. It'll be no different to ToTA league, no one said they felt poor and the mechanic itself didn't spawn much raw currency for most players (only those who pushed high ranks). The wildwood wisps juicing was on a whole other level we have never experienced before. It will give some people some whiplash as they adjust to the base game. But anyone half decent at the game will learn to adjust and farm reward pools that have garanteed rewards, rather than rewards that scale with MF gear.

Only problem with rog in hardcore is expedition can be an extremely dangerous mechanic - a lot of the remnant modifiers (especially phys overwhelm) give mobs a LOT of hidden damage that you won’t realize until you’ve been one-shot.

How iLVL works on rog? is based on your level or what else?

It’s based on your level and I think it caps out when you reach 90. At that point you will see up to ilvl 86 but at least 83.
