Just a heads up. Using the custom kernel made it so the Aeroactive Cooler 3 was no longer recognized by the phone. It would still work as a charging pass through, but the fan and RGB didn't work. I didn't get a chance to try other accessories, but switching the kernel back to stock fixed the issue. It's a shame because the black crush fix was working well enough apart from it preventing certain elements from being touched (some switch controls, for example). Still great work regardless!

The phone doesnt need the aero cooler anymore, since the kernels undervolt makes it run full speed without ever throttling. So you really don't need the cooler anymore.

I mean ypu could brick your device but if its unlocked you can as easily unbrick it again. I cant really think of more, its really hard to fk something up.

@@DJPitcher asus should habe a backup function built into the stock rom but i have never used it. Maybe join the discord, therr are some users who know how to backup stuff. I typicially have everything on the cloud so i dont ever need to backup my stuff

@@DJPitcher Yes the rog has a built in backup option, just plug in a flash drive or some storage device, then go to the backup section in settings and backup. It will take reallllllllllly long if you got alot of stuff to backup, so be patient.

Banking apps don't work when you unlock it, shame as I'd love to fix this issue.

Lots of users are using banking apps with unlocked and rooted device. Me included.

@@danishblunt9698 Doubt this will be the case here in the UK, as once rooted they class it as an unsecured device. Just had a look... You’ll no longer be able to use our Mobile Banking app if we think the device you’re using has been jailbroken or rooted. Jailbreaking and rooting, removes safeguards from your phone which can leave your device vulnerable to fraudulent attacks

@@huxley309 Unlocking bootloader isnt rooting. You don't need to root your device in order to install the kernel, all you need is to unlock your bootloader, that being said, even if you root, all you do is using magisk hide which will make it impossible for your banking app to detect root. All banking apps have this feature that if it detects root, it won't be able to work, however magisk hides root from apps you select fixing this issue alltogether. This is why rooted devices also pass satetynet. I don't blame you for not knowing, you obviously are inexperienced with rooted devices, hence you wouldn't know.

@@danishblunt9698 Magisk hide doesn't work with my app, many say it still picks it up, even when they tried repackaging or hiding it. I'm in two minds to try it, seeing as going back will be a right hassle.
