First mistake GL made was to kill off Maureen Bauer. It was all downhill from there. The way the producers treated MZ when he got ill was despicable as well.

Excellent too, is two or three days later, upstairs in Alexandra's bedroom, when the two of them divvy up the 'community property.' And Roger is in no position to bargain, what with Alex knowing Roger stole his own son's (Hart) farm out from under him. It's sublime! Months later, in Fletcher's crowded restaurant, she told Billy Lewis to his face all about his daughter Mindy and Roger. It was heaven!

I can't fault Marj Dusay--she had IMPOSSIBLE shoes to fill--her Alex was different but I liked it...however, Beverlee is the queen. Her voice dripped honey and venom and I miss her dearly....

No it wasn't Marj's fault at all. I liked her too but she should have never played Alex. Marj was at SB when JFP ran the show and that is why she was cast as Alex.If she wanted Marj she should have created a part for her and she would have shown what she is capable of I am sure. IMO the part should have NEVER been recasted. Just like Iris at AW. Jill Farren Phelps IMO recasted the part because she was annoyed that Bev held all the cards regarding her contract and TPTB didn't like that they were put on notice because they didn't know the ins and outs of it. That simple. She was unhappy and it showed in the Lujack/Nick tale.Not to mention they were working her but off and not pairing her with Jay Hammer. They wanted VI back (another person she worked with at SB) but creating Lujack's twin turned out to be a real disaster. VI could have come back as Lujack if they put their minds to it and be creative. Who is to say this is also the time period she was becoming ill and as private as she was she walked away on her terms. I say bravo to her for that because JFP has ruined every soap she touched in some form.

This daytime drama suffered one major loss by lossing him as did his fans and family i read once that excluding one of his daughters Zaslow's immediate family all died tragically as did he just goes to show that sometimes bad things happen to nice people. My aunt had the pleasure of meeting Michael she said he was so nice will miss him Wish show would use his clips in new storyline

Saddest was the daughter. She apparently died of a drug overdose while at college. The one remaining daughter is happily married with children of her own.
