I’ve been waiting for the Keith Moon movie for years and now it’s gonna be 2020 and still Nothing? 😞

Poor Roger wasn’t very well at that time, I don’t think. I don’t like the hair don’t much, but it WAS the 90s! I’ve met Roger twice, and he’s absolutely lovely - really kind, friendly and down to earth.

Think the video is squeezed a bit horizontally, happens a bit converting from VHS to digital... even back then, Jonathan Ross wasn't that thin! Roger's still working on that movie (seems to be a bit on/off), but perhaps Mike Myers is a bit long in the tooth to play Moonie :D

I think most rock stars and actors want to reinvent themselves and get away from their appearance back in the 60's or 70's. Many don't want to get stagnant, moving on with the times, and experiment with different looks. With age, they also change their lifestyle since the early days of their groups: Roger's case, he went into acting and got into trout farming. Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull bought a whole island up in Scotland where he got into salmon farming - a business which took up a lot of his time. But he's a very good manager, has very good relations with the locals, all which he takes very seriously. It doesn't surprise me that rock stars like Roger Daltrey get into acting or develop secondary businesses. It's not a bad idea - like he was saying - because the music business was and is very unpredictable; it's always a good idea to invest time and money into something different, 'just in case'. But it's also good for the soul to explore different avenues in life.

Yeah, I think you're right, the frame is probably squeezed a bit. Although this was Roger's "mullet haircut" phase which really didn't suit him well. He was in his 40's and his hair was receding a bit so it gave him a very elongated facial appearance and a kind of Rocky Dennis (The film Mask) look. He actually looked better with shorter hair in his 50's around 2000.

There's a clue about 6 minutes in that places this at Feb. 1991. ("Buddy's Song" came out Feb. 28, 1991).

lol, I was thinking the same thing! Horrible haircut, he should have sticked to his shorter hair cut. What the hell ever happened to the Keith Moon movie? Wasn't Mike Myers supposed to play the part?
