This gathering is part of the R-CHIVE group's biweekly meetings online (Fridays at 1 pm EDT). We have two series: Fall and Spring. For more information, please see r-chive.com/ OR reach out to the organizers: Juilee Decker, jdgsh@rit.edu; David Messinger; dwmpci@rit.edu; or Roger L. Easton, Jr.; rlecpi@cis.rit.edu.
Roger's teaser about the presentations was distributed to our group on Weds. 9/11, as a preview to the 9/13 presentation which is included in this video in its entirety. The meeting was recorded with the permission of both Roger and Lisa Fagin Davis, the lead scholar working on the Voynich. Enjoy!

"I’m going to risk the threat of triskaidekaphobia and make a brief presentation this Friday about the images from the Voynich manuscript that were reported by Lisa Fagin Davis this week on her blog:
(manuscriptroad...)
This came about when I was laying over at Dulles Airport for 7 hours after returning from Vienna and Greece in August. I took advantage of that time to read the article in the September issue of “The Atlantic” about Lisa’s experiences with the Voynich manuscript (www.theatlanti.... I sent an email to Lisa to say that I was on the team with Ken Boydston, Mike Phelps, Chet Van Duzer, and Greg Heyworth that imaged a few leaves of the manuscript in 2014. As a result, she and I have been working on those multispectral images to see if any new information could be extracted. At the meeting, I’ll describe the imaging and recent processing that was done, along with a bit about what she found from those images."
