Voynich Manuscript Revealed (2018)

The Voynich Manuscript is a mysterious medieval manuscript written in the early 15th century. To date, scientists, historians, mathematicians and linguists have struggled to decipher the manuscript. However, the mystery has finally been put to rest. Ata Team Alberta (ATA) has deciphered and translated over 30% the manuscript. Currently, a formal paper of the philological study was submitted to an academic journal in John Hopkins University.

Let me try to explain the challenge of translating 600 years old phonetic Turkic of an unknown dialect to an English speaker. Consider this famous line by Shakespeare that is about 430 years old: Hamlet: "Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners?" This famous line may not mean much to a modern English speaker but Hamlet is essentially telling Ophelia that it would be better for her to live in chastity, protected from other people, instead of becoming a breeder of sinners. Obviously, this translation and explanation required a contextual interpretation by an expert. Now imagine English was a phonetic language - in other words, one would spell words as he/she hears them. Imagine how an Irishman or a Scotsman would pronounce and therefore phonetically spell the same sentence "Get thee to a nunn'ry, why woulds't thou be a breeder of sinners?" quite differently than, for example, the Queen of England. And now imagine the author was indeed a Scotsman but one has to have some knowledge of how Scottish accent was like 430 years ago. If English was a phonetic language, an English speaker would pronounce this sentence the following way, according to the Cambridge Dictionary. Hamlet: "Get di tu eɪ nʌnəri waɪ wʊdənt daʊ bi eɪ bridər əv sɪnər”. Obviously, the spelling would be somewhat different if pronounced by a Scottish accent. Make your guess how different this sentence would sound if it was a Scottish accent 430 years ago. Now let’s replace these characters with random symbols without further complicating it with the ancient Scottish pronunciation. Hamlet: "Get di tu eɪ nʌnəri waɪ wʊdənt daʊ bi eɪ bridər əv sɪnər” Now imagine all you have is the above sentence with these unknown symbols and no information about the origin of the language. Good luck working the problem backwards and forwards and using these characters try to translate this sentence into modern English. This is exactly the reason it is almost impossible to make sense of the Voynich text if the person does not have a deep knowledge of the particular language of the era it was written. In addition, this person should also have the patience and dedication to work through an unknown, likely made-up alphabet and the starting assumption has to be that the language is of a particular origin and then test this possibility. I believe Voynich manuscript can only be deciphered by trial and error by people who have the in-depth historical knowledge of their native language and patience to work through decoding the unknown characters. And sooner or later one of them will stumble upon the correct answer. It is therefore plausible how this man might actually be the one.

English IS a phonetic language - I think what becomes lost over the ages is various spellings and dialects within a specific phoneme. I found this video quite entertaining and very instructive. Additionally, aren't most Eastern languages written right to left? Is Turkic normally written left-to-right? I only ask because I know very little about Asia Minor and have always been fascinated with that part of the world...

I'd always wondered just why it had taken so long for someone to make sense of this oddity... I figured it for a hoax or some elaborate olde world troll. This explanation really makes you realize just how in depth *truly* translating something needs to be, to be accurate. Context, motivation and an understanding of the world as it was at the time are three things you are unlikely to get from an obscure manuscript like this, and those three things truly are the lenses through which this manuscripts actual origin and purpose will be focused.

i get it, just like i understand the light orbs in the skies popping up all over the world right now. The higher realms be talking at it. Our life force energy in the realm is in a cycle of decay. This book shows how to fix this issue, how to tap into the life force, how to channel it, how to connect consciousness with other realms (the tubes and shoots with women inserted as if they are completing a natural connection that already exists). If we tune into our natural world, we get to channel in life force, and communicate with higher realms again. I think their approach is actually not very scientific. They make a lot of initial assuptions based off of the fact that it ~looks to be~ agglutanative. There are many agglutanative languages in the world, not just Turkish, and instead of applying more and more tests to find holes in their theories ~ which could only lead them closer to the truth ~ they only look for things that back their theories.

In order to give you an idea of ​​where our work is progressing, it would be useful to provide some updates again. After that, a while ago, the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Muğla University in Turkey invited us. On November 5, 2021, I made a presentation about our VM study in there. During this study, We talked about ATA alphabet transcription. I showed some examples of words that were read. I talked about the analysis of some sentences. In the end, I was congratulated by the dean of the department for our success. They were also give me a certificate of appreciation for our work. As a result, all of this professionals are accepted about existence of old Turkish content in VM texts. In 2021, I made a presentation to linguists in the Turkology department of Azerbaijan Baku State University. Thus, the Turcologists at this university also realized that the VM-content is Turkish. In the same year, I made another presentation to the subject experts at the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. The same successful results were seen here as well. In 2022 (recently), we were invited to an international symposium by Niğde University. We were invited because the article we sent to this institution passed their scientific committee and was accepted. The article we sent here was an article we wrote jointly with Professor Mayil Askarov, professor of Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences and expert on Old Turkic language. Probably soon (most likely in the coming months) our scientific-article of our aforementioned study will be published in the proceedings of this symposium. I also submitted an article for another international symposium that will be held in Ankara on 3-5 October. For this symposium, Prof. Dr. Mayil Askerov himself sent an article describing that the Voynich manuscript is in Turkish. Mr. Askerov mostly use of our ATA alphabet transcription in his work. After all, we were both invited to this symposium. We will go to Ankara in October, and we will explain the subject with some full page reading examples. Our reading works on VM is improving slowly but positively. Our free time is very limited and we spend this time sending articles to academies rather than making youtube videos. We will publishing our studies in our web application pages which pages are currently under construction by one developer in Turkey. We are currently testing our web site with loading our unchecked raw notes to test the page to help for this developers work. So, this web site is not officially announced yet but may be you can find some details. You can read the main articles in fallowing pages. In the current situation, we were able to read about 100 sentences, a few full pages. We also detected 98 VM-drawings to word overlaps. We have seen that there are many abbreviations in the content of the manuscript and that the author has given special names to some drugs and plants are among the factors that make it difficult to read. We still could not identify the dialect of the author. Our book has been ready in Turkish for a long time, but we haven't chosen a publisher yet. I think we'll have finished this book publishing job and of this year (or may be next year). We are looking for a professional translator for the English translation of our book. Thank you and your sons for taking your time to recognize, examine and translate the Voynich manuscript. I've seen many videos and articles about this manuscript and have always felt that someone would eventually be able to decipher it. It must have been very exciting to realize that your language was used, old Turkish. Also the fact that it was written phonetically, which makes sense if the writer was not formally educated. Exciting that you've been able to translate a full page and it made total sense and was in context to the illustrations shown. I have an old German register that my son purchased for me, in Germany, while he was taking college courses there. I have not been able to get it translated because the few people I have asked have told me that it is written in a " dead " German language. It seems to be a census record of small villages or towns written in 1804. I couldn't even find any information or examples of old German on the internet. I hope that you and your sons are recognized and that your work is accepted by those who, in the past, were unable to decode this manuscript. If you can interpret the whole manuscript, I would love to see that interpretation in print. It would be a link to our past that so far, no one-else has been able to produce. @NATJERE Studio well, at the time this manuscript would have been written (I believe they have carbon-dated this to the 1400s), materials for writing would have been incredibly expensive. The process for making it was costly and time consuming. I have no doubts people have loved trolling since the dawn of time but the likelihood that someone would use valuable paper to troll is really small. Not impossible but very unlikely.

But then again it seems possible for one to decide on a translation strategy being very guided on what you think the page is supposed to say, for instance, after reading up on sunflower biology.

It was only possible for an expert in Turkic languages to see these patterns. It was because of the fact that Yale digitised the text and made it available to the public that this Turkic expert came into contact with it. It's not like you can just imagine that it looks like Turkish if you aren't familiar with the language.

That is a hard thing to do. There are over 6000 living languages in the world, and then you have thousands of extinct languages. Then you have to add the fact that this text was written in an unknown alphabet. Most people have thought this was written in some sort of code. I think that most people also assumed it would be written in some Indo-European language. Not many people in the West are familiar with ancient Turkish.

My theory is that this book was written by Italian merchant that learned Turkish to better his trading skills, when he decided to retire, he settled in northern Italy. To pass his time, he wrote the book in his modified Turkish to code his experience and discoveries from time, when he traveled.

Thus, linguists starts to verify that our studies. Which means that alphabet transcriptions (we were make for this manuscript) ensures that the manuscript was written in Turkish. This makes sense. The dating of the manuscript dated back to around 1420 when Turkey was a more advanced civilization. Given the manuscript was made with great effort and cost, it may have represented the best knowledge at the time from that part of the world. The previous people studying it may not have any idea about ancient Turkish and were on the wrong track of looking at the book as an encrypted one. It is not too surprising that this mystery is being solved by, of all people, a family of engineers! I've known many engineers over the past 40 years. Their minds always seem to be dominated by an interesting combination of two traits - brilliance, coupled with bare-bones practicality. This thing has thwarted code breakers for centuries. Yet a Turkish engineer becomes interested in the thing, notices a consistent use of a particular set of characters. And then, in the most practical and simple of ideas, notices a commonality to a phonically written Turkish dialect. Conclusion? The book was not written in code at all, but phonically. It seems as if it's an older version of the original settlers cookbook, but created by someone who was simply "translating" a language they didn't know. None of the knowledge is of any great use for us today, we have figured that stuff out already. Perhaps we could learn something new? Not likely.

Very easy to see why other cryptographers and linguists have failed with the diversity, complexity, multiple pronunciations, combinations and not to mention modifications through time Turkish letters/words have had. Without a history of speaking, reading and specialising in the previous versions there’s no way a native English speaking person could of figured it out. We do not recognise word formation and meaning on anywhere near this level.

Some of the results of our text analysis: 1- The alphabet used contained both single letters, combined letters, and tamgas (tanımga). It is evident that the entire text could have been written in basic letters, yet the author used complex syntax - that employed combined letters and tamgas - by using multifunctional isolated affixations (which mostly in coded parts for phonetic valued expansion). 2- The alphabet that the author used contains abbreviations that both have phonetic and numerological value. A close example to demonstrate the concept in English would be the use of abbreviation to express statements like “for you” as “4U”. 3- Some of the suffixes isolated from their roots, and it causing the words before and after the suffix to each have a different meaning as they approach that suffix. Therefore, the author is able to take two words and have a suffix in between and create expanding meaning combinations. One of this example can be found in the 3rd line of the paragraph that was analyzed in Folio 33v-Sunflower-. 4- The results of our text analysis based from randomly chosen pages demonstrate that the author did code the texts, which can be read downwards and upwards for every first letter of each line, as well as it can be read downwards and upwards for every last letter of each line. In these codes, the author wrote diary entries describing people, settings and events that have nothing to do with science or art. 5- The author is a traveller/explorer, researcher, writer, seeds-kernels seller, gynecologist doctor, medicine maker, space observer, poet and educator (+) who was travelling in Europe. One of the destinations in this travel was Istanbul (or Europeans call the city as Constantinople in the time period). 6- Throughout the journey the author was not alone. He traveled with his family and friends and-or relatives. (Three families. (Nine person, and as we understand three of them children). 7- The author wrote this book throughout the journey. Our current hypothesis and notes: 1- The author was travelling from Italy to Istanbul. 2- Istanbul city (Constantinople) to Anatolia and-or Baku city (today's Azerbaijan) probably was the last destination in this travel. 3- Is it possible that manuscript has been stolen from "Ottoman Imperial Archives" around the presumably year in 1911, and 1912? Is there any other single page with written same alphabet in the Ottoman archive in Istanbul?

Yale could probably get Google to run it through their latest gen quantum computer. It never hurts too ask, the worst they can do is decline. However, this manuscript & it's untold story is famous enough they'll do it for the PR alone.

We discussed the issue with one of the Turkey’s biggest technology-based establishment companie in Middle East Technical University -Turkey-Ankara to create our own reading-software for VM.
