The fact that people are still showcasing his amazing career even though he recently retired shows how much of an impact he had on the tennis world!
@jollymolly25212 жыл бұрын
Um...that's WHY they're creating these videos. Let's face it - Roger's retirement is going to put a big dent in tennis ratings all around the world. The most popular player ever and a lot of casual tennis fans don't even really know anyone but Roger, Rafa and Djokovic...and no offense to the other 2 but they've never been a walking highlights reel.
@AnthonyHirsch2 жыл бұрын
@@jollymolly2521 I'm a massive Federer fan, but honestly Rafa is underrated as a shot maker. He kinda is a walking highlight reel. His banana shots, his speed, his passing shots, the way he plays the game is pretty flashy even tho ik it's often a very grinding style which can take away from shotmaking or that kind of entertainment value. Still Rafa is an insane shotmaker... I'd say underrated. Not like Roger but no one can be. Federer was special. And Fed was that extraordinary of an athlete it's a no brainer they'd keep making videos. They should just like when Novak retires, Rafa retires. They're special players they don't just die out like that. Especially an influential and popular player like Roger

14:17 For me best best shot he's ever made. Like there is no chance for him to win the point, and still the ball passes Roddick... In fact it is for me the best shot ever made in tennis... what a talent...

2:45 Roger Federer went undefeated at the Hard Rock stadium :) Also his first and last M1000 final were both in Miami 4:07 I suppose in a way....its fitting that his final ever title was at his hometown tournament. 5:21 On an unrelated note I cant help but wonder when tennis will be played in China again. 5:51 Fed fans NEEDED this as desperately as ever given what happened 4 months prior. 9:00 Twice in 2 weeks, Roger absolutely destroyed Rafa. Miami was slightly closer than Indian wells though. 12:06 Hopefully we see Roger play some exhibition matches from time to time! 13:01 Djokovic won a set here. Was immediately evident that Novak was gonna be a PROBLEM for Roger for many years. 13:57 Rogers knee was already gone by this point. Yet still found a way to the quarterfinals.

What are you guys smoking? That smash off Roddick's overhead was NOT Roger's first "GOAT" shot. Talk about selling the man short. He was hitting GOAT shots as a junior. That's why everyone knew he had the potential to be the GOAT.

I'd say his first GOAT shot as a pro was the forehand passing shot against Rafter in RG 1999. Unfortunately, they can't show it.
