When looking at his dominance from 04-09, it's so hard to believe that after this title, Fed would win just one GS over the next 7 years.

can't blame him, nadal and djokovic are both freaks of nature. djokovic is an all surface player and nadal always has RG in the bag to secure at least a slam per year. fed is still our GOAT, good thing he racked up like 7 slams before rafa and djokovic came into the scene.

@@thomasgibson7523 he not the goat lol, novak and nadal have the mental edge when it comes to big points. federer chokes and does wayward shots. And in long rallies he always likely to make the first mistake against the other two

Of course it rightly went from the big four to the big 3 pretty quickly, but overall you’ve gotta feel bad for Murray being in a generation with the 3 GOATs, could have been on about 10 majors now if not for that

He was as good as Novak. The only problem with him is he was a mental midget and couldn't help himself to stop choking every time, which led to him being more and more defensive. Up until 2011, he was a great player.

Everyone is here talking about prime. I will tell you prime form of a player means offcourse he is at his peak but prime means he is in opponent head also. At this point Federer was in every opponent head and in crucial points opponent makes mistake. Yes this was last Federer prime match you can say. But 2004-2007 Federer was untouchable.

In prime, arrogance and pride will be the main highlight. But for me, Federer's calm and cool personality attracted the most. I won't think any other player who can be this cool being a champion and number 1, that's why being third highest grandslams holder, he loved most by the world. Even the haters will agree Federer has more fans than anyone in this world

@Marcos Martins Jr To be honest, it's mainly due to the decline in his speed and footwork which is inevitable. He is relying on top-spin shots to recover his position more often than ever before. Even so, he still played some very impressive forehands in 2014 and 2015. I am convinced a 04-07 or even 08-12 Roger with a bigger racquet would play the ultimate form of attacking tennis.
