@dblocknyc I never said he made Lamont champ but he gave Vernon his foundation. He was his trainer as an amateur. He also works with the Dirrell brothers. Many fighters will pay for other trainer's assistance in certain areas of training without havin them as their chief 2nd in the fight. There's no doubt that he is a great trainer. You also have to remember how many fighters Arum owns & thus Roger would never be able to train them even if the fighter requested. You gotta look at the big picture

first of, mayweather will never rely TOO much on his defence like judah because mayweather is a WINNER, he likes to win and he always finds one way or another to get the job done, and floyd is a much more intelligent/smarter boxer than khan, khan has no ring smartness he just throws his punches from weird angles but they dont land, and i think in the fight if that ever happens, floyd will let khan throw his punches for like 4-5 rounds and then when he gas out floyd will take over and

Word is Amir created alot of trouble for floyd in the sparring session in 2008 , thats why roger switches topic to lamont beatin amir rather then the spar and just say floyd was toying around. Thats why floyd has been badmouthing amir in recent times. It makes sense..if floyd dispatched of khan, a green inexperienced highly flawed one at that in sparring, he wouldnt see khan as anything..

But he is a counter-puncher, has a very good inside game, and on top of that, he is nowhere near as fast or accurate as Floyd. Peterson has a lot of flaws in his game, and he still managed to fuck Khan up. Khan's combinations ain't shit, Peterson proved that, and so did Maidana. You honestly think that Mayweather hasn't fought somebody as fast as Khan? The Zab he fought was 10x faster. Mayweather can adjust easy!
