Haha I always get a good laugh out of the fact that so many people go onto there computers to slag genuine fighting men off. I can guarantee none of these guys who come on here to feel tough would actually go up to a trained fighter and say the shit that I read on here. Respect to any man/ woman who goes out and earns a living whatever way they can that's all I say..

You'd be suprised some people come talk shit and start shit because they hear you're trained. I'm 28 now so it doesn't happen much, but my lil brother is 17 and it happens to him constantly. That's just regular kid shit. I think it's good for him to have chances to use his boxing to defend himself. He's 5 years in training plus my dad and I have tough him the basics forever before that. Back to the point there are definitely some ass holes that pick fights with really any kinda martial artist just because they either think it's bs or its just bugs some people if they feel like they're aren't the tough guy in the group, building, party, etc.

when ppl complain that a fighter is fighting bums its 2 things: either they dont like the fighter, or the fighter is just that fucking ridiculously awesome, hence Mayweather jr., rigodeaux, eubank jr. When you make fights look boring and ppl call your competition "BUMS" is the funniest/dumbest thing to hear(boxers box brawlers brawl). you cant fight 50 straight bums and be undefeated can you MAYWEATHER JR? you cant have over 400 amateur fights win a title in the states in 2 fights can you RIGONDEAUX? and this Eubanks Jr is undefeated, with POISE i havent seen before, how can you not like GREATNESS?....guess im weird

kileblade people don't respect Jr because he lives in his Dad's shadow. The only reason he's getting the spars and open doors that he is getting is because of his old man and his contacts. He looks extremely ripped for his category, but that is all. Apart from that, he has proven nothing so far - I have to say, he held up better than expected against Saunders, but he was outclassed before, during and after the fight. Jr had no bottle for the first half of the fight and when he knew he couldn't out box Saunders, he knew he had to knock him down - good luck knocking a traveller down mate. Will he amount to anything in the future? He has it all to do. He has made it harder for himself because he has relied so much on his father and people don't respect that. I can't help but love Eubank Sr... I don't respect the way that he used to bad mouth boxing and offend amateurs and pro's by saying what he did when it put the food on his table. Jr needs to wind his neck in for a few fights and let the gloves do the talking. He is nowhere near belt standard yet, worse still, his unjustified arrogance is putting crowds off him. His dad was arrogant as a new pro, but fuck me he was good... and if you get the results he got so early on, you deserve to be arrogant and people like it. Talking yourself up and being undeservedly arrogant, then getting panned just makes you look stupid - Eubank Sr went into those rings KNOWING that nothing could beat him, I don't get that from the kid.

I see some of you saying Roger is better than Floyd as a trainer. I know some of you don't like or respect them. However, they understand the sport of boxing very well. Each bring his own specialty in defense, offense timing & reaction. Floyd is in a unique position to benefit from both. Both use the pads but teach different things to Floyd, you very rarely see Floyd hit the pads w/ his father yet when you do, it won't be in the same way as when he works w/ Roger. .

In the days of Benn, I loathed Eubank. Nowadays, because he's basically grown up and mellowed with age, he's become the gentleman he always portrayed himself to be - and a credit to British boxing in the process. Let's not forget he was a great boxer, too. Mayweather Sr. undoubtedly has skills and an uncanny understanding of movement, but he was never involved in any wars.

You are mistaken! ROGER takes the pads to Floyd, Floyd SR actually holds the pads out much farther. Next, It is true that a fighter will not WANT to stand still, if he is stunned he covers up and not always moves his feet. Next, the pad drills are to develop instinct and that is what this does.

from this video he's like a speedier version of cotto with flashes of tito trinidad. Could be the next danny garcia. he's a little stiff though but you can tell hes got a lot of power. a bit flat footed, but he's got hand speed to compensate. He's a killer not a prancer. good looking fighter, solid. rough around the edges, id say keep mayweather sr for defense lessons or join virgil hunters camp. definitely needs USA exposure. Being fed bums, 17-0 and not a credible win to his name. Very sad. Not saying he's no good but come on, put him in with someone half decent like a Billy Joe Saunders. The clips looks as though the pad man is doing all the punching which is making it look a lot better than it is.

It's just a boxing term as if your a boxing fan you would know. His career is being managed so he makes as much money as possible so they will feed him bums till he gets to a good undefeated record and they will then get him a big money fight. It's not rocket science just how he's being directed. Thing is its not helping his career at all cause when he does get in with a credible fighter he will either struggle but get through our he'll be made to look like a mug.

Hey I think its only fair to give Eubanks Jr some time. Alot of great boxers get into the ring with lesser known opponents early in their career. His handlers are bringing Eubanks Jr along step by step. Saunders is his first big step up though. I hope Eubanks Jr develops his defense to go along with his offense as he steps up in class. He might be the one to represent UK on the world level in the coming years. Hope he comes to the US to fight sometime! We have some good middle weights here!
12 жыл бұрын
If you notice, Mayweather keeps it close and pulls back when he needs to to give Eubank more range. You have to meet the gloves because at their age and the amount of fighters they train, you're gonna blow out your shoulder if you keep it stiff. He taught the best fighter of our era most of what he knows after all..

You can only pick 4 guys out on Calzaghes resume and thats it his unbeaten record means nothing....look at Manny Pacmans last 15 fights against world class top 5 fighters and he's been beaten 4 times......Look at the way Tyson career finished beat 6 times but was youngest world champion in a gold period for american heavy weight boxing knocking out elite level fighters.....Eubank jr will be better if he doesnt dodge the big fights and he'll go to be better

LOL Calzaghe was a good fighter with a padded record yeah beat over the hill Eubank for title...apart from that built a padded record against b and c level fighters....beat an inexperienced kessler who's got better and over the hill jones and hopkins and got a lucky decision...watch his reaction before the decision he knew he'd lost and jumped in relief.....Froch has fought 8 top level fights one after another at elite level....being unbeaten means something if you've fought and bea the best

@FP51DPO Eubank relied on opponents attacking so he could counter and never looked comfortable having to go forward to lead off. Do you know why Eubank never fought Herol graham ? I bet it wasn't because Herol didn't want to !! It was probably for the same reason he wouldn't spar with ANTHONY HODGE, who boxed for the matchroom at the same time. And, before you berate me, Hodge told me that himself and he was a southpaw who I sparred with many times over the years

@bent I saw when Ingle threw a rage at him; I don't see what his point was. Herol Graham was a great fighter; I saw his last fight he out pointed the guy all the way through, but he failed to take a punch and thats boxing.Eubank would have out powered Graham. I never rated Nunn. I think Eubank lost the will to punch towards the end of his career, in his hayday he would have been match for the others but we will never know... I guess they would have all been decided on points

Didb you ever see the press conference where Eubank was taken to task by Brendan ingle. I felt a bit sorry for Eubank as Ingle reeled off the names of fighters from his gym who '' stood him (eubank) on his head''

@coljohno79 you say he was scared to "hit" after the Watson tragedy. But he did actually knock out John Jarvis cold at the G mex in Manchester only about a year later. Also I don"t believe you could hold off a man as strong as Steve Collins by not hitting that man very hard. Eubank dropped Collins, & Steve had as good a chin as Eubank. I remember him closing Henry Whartons eye, another very strong man, of Gypsy stock. Again not a man you could "half hit", & hold off, in my opinion!

@coljohno79 in his genes? thats not proven. read a book by Matthew Syed called The Talent Myth. Otherwise why wouldn"t Jordi be as good as his Dad Johan Cruyff. Another example Nicholas Roche son of Tour de France winner Stephen Roche, yet cannot win even a single stage race, but is very dedicated... ps i"m not a Eubank hater, his Dad was a very tough man. Both Nigel Benn & Steve Collins said he was the toughest they fought. Thats good enough for me.

One thing which you can see in this video, is the slight difference in Floyd Sr and Roger Mayweather's padwork structure. From what I've seen in this and other videos, is that Floyd Sr puts quite a lot more jabs into his drills, mainly to finish combinations on. It also seems like Floyd Sr moves around the ring more when doing it also, whereas Roger tends to stay on the same spot during combinations and only moves feet when he takes a half spin around before starting over. I prefer Rogers method

That also comes in being able to sell fight. tyson used his ko ration to sell fight. mayweather is using his mouth to protect his "0" mayweather doesnt really in come in to defend titles. The defending his unblemished record means more to him. so eubank jnr u v to be able to sell fights

is it just me or does anyone think its bad when the trainer slaps on to the glove so close? it seems like they should make the fighter reach out more so they can get a fuller range in their punch

why re people taking about Pac-Man vs Mayweather Jr on this video, this is about Eubank Jr and what a great talent he is. Please take this conversation elsewhere, the fight ain't even going to happen FFS!

If your trainer is going to get you killed you should get a new one. You can't fight if your dead and your trainer can't get money from a dead guy. Bad bussiness for all.

He has a lot of power and straight punches, but I would be concerned about his head movement. He doesn't seem very mobile either. Overall, he seems to be ready.

Impressive speed. Only thing I haven't liked about this kid so far is he seems really rigid when he fights. Not sure why, but if he can loosen up a little bit and use a little more footwork theres no reason why he can't go far.

His speed is good... However, he loses basic discipline whilst hunting for speed. Watch his chin left open during offence.. Especially on his right hands

One of the Best Trainers in the Boxing Game" He fought Sugar Ray Leonard in 1978" back in his Day he was the business. Him and his Son Floyd Mayweather Junior clash because they are so alike and don't like people telling them what is right and what is wrong" or in his Sons case he doesn't like his father telling him what to do because he wasn't there for him when he was growing up with his womanizing ways" Plus he used to beat his Mom in front of him if he came home stinking of other women's perfume or Sex" If he got found out he did all the more.. Very nice roll model for young Floyd.. They both clash with each other and Floyd cannot forgive him for what he put them through when he was a little boy.. Great Trainer but doesn't Suffer or take fools lightly.
