Connery was the original film Bond! And having stamped his personality onto the role, he was the one to match! A great shame for Lazenby, that he had to follow Connery! Without that major disadvantage, he might have succeeded, in his own interpretation of the role! Otherwise, Moore did well; as did Craig ... but both were very much aided and abetted, by not needing to match up to Connery, per se!

Golden Gun is under rated. If anything because the cinematography and editing is flawless and is one of the best looking films of the 70s. Great video and great insight on the Roger Moore videos! Roger Moore was a great actor and he is my favorite James Bond because I like on how he made bond have a great balance between action and a sense of humor. Also the bond movies that Moore was in was fun to watch. I wish that bond movies could be fun funny and creative. My favorite bond movies that Roger Moore was in was Octopussy, For Your Eyes Only, the Spy Who Loved me, and View to a kill! The main reason I picked them was how the bond girls had some more character development, Roger Moore was able to make James Bond unique with different styles, and many others. Also Another reason I heavily consider Octopussy my favorite is it has a sense of humor, Bond had great bond allies to help him, Octopussy had great character development, Q was added into more scenes to help Bond, and many others. Live and Let Die was good liked Solitaire's development, but gave me nightmares about voodoo and was sad that Q wasn't featured in that movie. For Your Eyes Only I liked the movie, but was disappointed in the lack of gadgets from Q. In View to a Kill, I liked the storyline and I thought Stacey was a good bond girl with some development, liked seeing May Day change sides to help Bond after being betrayed, and was a little discourage about the lack of gadgets from Q. Man With The Golden Gun was okay didn't like the fact the the directors tried to make Bond dark, liked the bond girl, and the scene with Scramanga was fun. Moonraker was fun to watch liked Holly Goodhead's development and Jaws turning good to help Bond along with Goodhead. I think it was good that Roger Moore was able to do Bond and be creative and not be very dark. It's fun rewatching The Spy Who Loved Me, Octopussy, View To A Kill, and For Your Eyes Only.

14:59 good point about the aggression. Moore doesn't come off as believable when he slaps Maud, where Connery was always believable. I think this comes down to personality and upbringing. Moore was from a middle class background and a sickly child. Connery was working class and a body builder. For Connery, slapping a woman around was no big deal ( he even controversially admitted publicly to being a wife beater). Whereas for Moore it didn't come naturally...

Fascinating observation! I'm of working-class roots! And I've previously worked out with weights! I have even - just - bought a set, for home-use! Yet, I'M not in the habit of slapping women around!

Roger Moore is my favorite Bond. He was just so damn cool and debonair. And the funniest as well.

Moore was the Elvis of the Bond franchise. He took it to superstardom.

Connery and Bronsan are my James Bonds as I have seen their movies the most. Roger Moore was pretty good. Just a tad too snobbish and couldn't be bothered to fight attitude. The flip side is Daniel Craigs take which is extremely Jason Bourneish with almost no gadgets. DAMN GOOD. Just very different. Moonraker is fantastic. So over the top you just can't help but laugh while watching it over and over.

I love Connery, Dalton, and Craig too, yet, I am of a certain age where Roger Moore will always be my favorite Bond. He just naturally had the chemistry of fun and cool at the same time, similar to Terrence Hill in Italian Westerns, even as a senior! None of his movies were my favorite 007 films; that probably has to go to "Dr No", or, "Casino Royale", or, my true favorite; "OHMSS"! Yet, his were the funnest and he was always so dynamic and charismatic at the same time!

Brilliant collection of Bond moments. You should have included the scene in Moonraker of the door entry code to the lab though. 😀

I grew up with Moore. Still my favorite Bond. Only has 1 bad movie and Dolly had braces.

I reshaped Roger Moore in an indirect James Bond story in my Zorro Series but we are living at a very difficult time after the bloody covid.19 pandemic, began in the year 2000 and this is 22 years since, I will be filmed in southern Spain, he was my only James Bond ever
