Ok hear me out, what if the baby that Roger and Rayleigh were referring to was Shanks (and maybe Buggy as well), but what if Shanks is actually Xebec's son. What if Shanks was on Xebec's ship during the God Valley incident, where he would have been a one-year-old, and Roger decided to "adopted" Shanks into his crew as a metaphorical son after beating Xebec and his crew. Think about it, we don't know Shanks' full name, he has an absurd amount of power and his Conqueror's Haki is insane, and if he was Xebec's son that means the 4 Emperors: Kaido, Big Mom, Whitebeard, and Shanks would have all had some connection to Xebec and they all would have technically been a part of his crew. Garp and Roger could have hid this information because they knew that the government wouldn't have let the baby live otherwise, sort of like how the government wouldn't have let Ace live so they had to hide the fact he was Roger's son. Just a thought I had.

I think it's as simple as Yamato is born a woman. Kaido wanted a son. Yamoto wants to be Oden... And be Oden literally. So now she's like "I am Oden" and gore by he/him. I don't think Yamoto has ever truly questioned gender or anything. Just being literal about being Oden and Oden was man.

What Liam failed to mention is that Artur literally put a disclaimer next to that segment saying Oda didn't actually use a male pronoun in the jp sbs when reffering to Yamato and just that he (Artur) chose to translate it as such.

Yamato is obviously a woman biologically, the sideboob aint lying lol. I think the “son” thing comes from both Yamato and Kaido: Yamato identifies herself as Kozuki Oden, who was a man, while Kaido’s reason is a bit unclear, maybe he wanted a son and that’s why he’s referring Yamato as “Son”. There’s another theory going around claiming that Kaido had another child, a son who died many years ago, and when Yamato was born a girl, Kaido decided to treat her like a son

To preface, I have no problem with anyone referring to Yamato as he because personally I see them as more non-binary/gender fluid and accepting of multiple pronouns. Arthur confirmed that Oda did not use a gendered pronoun. Arthur just translates it as "him" because in the manga gendered words referring to Yamato are primarily masculine.

@@youngleafxiv2782 , Carrot has more to bring to the table than Yamato does because all Yamato would bring to the table of being a full time Strawhat Pirate is unless she makes a new Raid Suit with Strawhats on it whenever Luffy gives up his Strawhat to Shanks or his children, and Yamato polishing Zoro’s swords whereas Carrot loves the dangerous adventures that Luffy has been since East Blue Saga; she’d be to able to night watch whenever all the Strawhats are sleeping at night in the ship, and her Sulong transformation can help them in battle as much as Jinbei’s Fishmen Karate and the rest of the Strawhats abilities in combat.

Previously we were told in volume 70's SBS that it would be Usopp or Robin who cuts their hair. I'm guessing Sanji was added because in volume 76 Oda said in the real world he might have the occupation of a beauty salon worker.
