For a song about disassociation the imagery matches it pretty well with its metaphorical representations of modern society. He even sings it in a sort of monotonous way to give the impression that he's under a spell, and then the woman comes in and sings from the soul in the midst of it all as sort of call to wake up. Impactful version. Roger still knows how to make a statement as much as he did with his concept albums.

I'm not into his politics in music and wish he would get back with David, but he's too stubborn. My favourite album is the Final Cut which is one of the forgotten and less appropriated Pink Floyd (Roger waters) albums. I wish he would chill out for the fans and get back with the remaining Pink Floyd. Even if it's just one more massive gig. Wembley Stadium or even Castle Donnington. A homecoming gig. "F the Poor!” “Steal from the Poor!" …”Give to the Rich!” The spirit of Jonathan Swift’s “Modest Proposal” etched into the side of a floating pig hovered over and haunted the 15,000 plus energetic crowd at the Tacoma Dome during last night’s Roger Waters’ “This Is Not A Drill” concert. An incredible night of music, messaging, politics, passion, singing and video, graphical representation and symbolism that didn't hold back and wasn't shy about Waters' commitment to progressivism and his fight against those in power and the extent they employ to repress dissent to maintain the existing orders and the powers that be. Waters' antifascist stance, his proclamation for democratic principles and human rights was celebrated in song and graphically pronounced in anime and video that was as stunning as it was startling in clarity of message and forceful aesthetics. One of the best concerts I ever attended due to the integration of music and imaging. Water's was a forceful speaker and singer who conveyed his gratitude to the people in attendance and his privileged position to be able to articulate his politics... The concert began with a powerful anime of a society descending into a urban morass of deconstruction and mass disconsolation of a compliant society accompanied by "Comfortably Numb"... it was followed by "The Wall" and the first half of the concert highlighted a sampling of Waters' career and the formation of Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett... after intermission we were greeted by a fascist harangue "Hammer" in the vein of Orwell's "1984" followed by "Sheep" "BLAAAA” bleated Waters’ with a sheep drone floating through the arena and "Animal Farm" the dominance of the pig turning everything upside down to justify the domination and privilege of the Oligarchs... the rest of the second half was a presentation and performance of "Dark Side of the Moon" incredible imaging and bad ass sax playing hitting all the right well known and beloved high notes.... after "DSM" a beautiful song and a walk off of all the musicians evocatively captured by live video of them thanking the audience, all the workers in the arena, all the workers employed in this massive production and a general display of joyous gratitude.... an incredible night of music, free speech and I couldn't help to think that what we witnessed was probably close to what Waters and Barrett envisioned when they started Pink Floyd... I'm so glad I exchanged my opening night tickets at the Seattle Symphony for a March concert of Carmina Burana.... I can wait.... My friend was absolutely right….I was not disappointed….

I loved seeing RW "The Wall" tour (twice) and the whole album. I just wonder in todays world what are the thoughts of people when RW in the Wall asks "should I trust the government" . Over the last two years governments the world over have taken political advantage of it's citizenry to limit free speech, to impose draconian travel restrictions to clamp down on individual rights and freedoms. So again when asked " should I trust the government" the unequivocal answer should be a resounding NO. And trust neither the Main Stream News that spews forth it's nightly rehash of Government propaganda.

In my case, less. I pity who bought the seats I was in. (they were expensive!). To me, it seems greedy. This is the guy who rails against ruthless capitalism. This to me seems just like that. I used to be a huge fan. I went to go see the wall in 1980 in LA. I was 15. After the concert I waited until they came out and I got Waters and Gilmore's autographs on my program. My ride was pissed of course and it was rude of me but I was 15 and selfish. I always went to see Waters solo when he came around pros and cons of hitchhiking etc. I saw him last at desert trip and it was pretty spectacular the sound was the best I've ever heard and I've been to thousands of concerts. He lit up the desert it was the most three-dimensional thing I've ever heard it was the whole desert was rolling with the sounds. And it was all classic old Floyd many songs that he did not play on this current show looking at the tour list. Still I'll never go see him again. I'm not going to meet him at the bar. He's a POS he's insufferable he's wrong headed and he's just a complete..... You know the words I don't need to fill it in I'll never go to see him again. But what I will do is go see saucer full of secrets with Nick Mason and I'd go see Gilmore in a heartbeat. Don't miss saucer full of secrets if you get a chance to see it it's fabulous... The desert trip show was very very anti-trump and I appreciate that tremendously and I was right there with him but then we started in with the anti-semitic anti-israel stuff at the very end in the last 2 minutes of the show he killed it for me I've lived in Israel I know what it's like to be there. It's not perfect what they're doing is sometimes wrong but he has no clue what he's talking about he really doesn't... Check out this amazing set list from desert trip it's so much better than this tour's setlist www.setlist.fm/setlist/roger-waters/2016/empire-polo-club-indio-ca-2bfd1872.html

When the messaging becomes more prominent than the music, it’s no longer music. I’ve been a fan since I was busted on the way to a Dark Side Of The Moon concert. Roger Waters, Syd Barrett, David Gilmore, Nick Mason, Rick Wright… they were mesmerizing. As were the optics! grant arnold 23 hours ago i bought vip tickets and arrived only to find out i was behind the action. great. second row seats. he played to the other side and the stupid people around me clapped furiously when we were gracioulsy blessed with his presence. what a joke! and what a waste of money. the music was great but i felt like i spent a ton of money on a video. it was obscene. he talks a good game of the little man, but i cant help but seeing this stage setup as nothing more than a money grab. what a hypocrite! in fact, i bought not one but two tshirts prior to the concert starting because i was so jazzed. im' almost embarrassed to werar them. the fact that he sold out 360 degrees of viewership and actually made the comment during my concert that" it wasnt sold out, but we didnt sell out" was a laughable thing! put your fans in front of your show! we saw NOTHING mostly but videos! MoneyGrubber!!!!!!!!!! Im turned off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see he is regaining his mind. He completely went stark raving mad on the us and then tour. TDS poster boy.
