From one fellow musician,life-long fan and fellow son of Surrey, who has 'served the man' then attained maturity and enlightenment, I salute your equally life-long committment to speaking truth to power and highly appropriate social commentary in all your great works. You Sir, are on the RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY. Unlike other hopelessly dellusional ex-colleagues we won't mention.

Roger’s music and message helped develop my internal resistance to the complete “fucknuts” of this world. He and his band mates gave me an openings into the truth of this world, and I’ll forever be thankful. I hope the evil stops soon and kinder minds can see how unnecessary the pain and suffering is.. all of us have far more in common than any differences these bastards show us

@@penyarol83 absolutely agree, I will not vote for anyone in this current “system”. I want a government run by the people for the people, it’s what democracy was meant to be.. in Greece you didn’t become a “citizen”unless you took part in running the government and making choices and decisions.. you only got certain benefits when you became a citizen. A republic is to me the only way we get fair governance. How on earth do we expect a small bunch of people to run fairly when as humans we don’t have the self control to handle power. It;s not that our leaders are inherently evil, it’s just that none of us can handle that power. We would do well to show some sympathy to these people, it’s not their fault they end up doing evil things, it;s our nature to abuse power. Forgiveness is the way… take the power from the few and spread it across the nation. It will mean us trying many different ideas and ways of living, which won’t be perfect, but after time we will iron out a way of living that favours the majority and not the minority. Just my thoughts. What do you think?

I was the same age when I got big into them, but I liked them since before that. The Wall was my favorite album, I’m 18 now and I still consider Echoes my favorite song and the band is probably forever gonna be my favorite. If you ask me Pink Floyd isn’t Pink Floyd without Roger, unless Syd was involved. I wish Momentary Lapse and Division Bell were under a different name, but I’m glad they were released and they wouldn’t have been as big of hits as they became, and I like the songs for the most part so it’s whatever, I don’t usually bring it up

Their more obscure albums (compared to the big ones from DSOTM to the Wall and their stuff after Final Cut), are really rewarding. I’d say Final Cut less so if you like psychedelia and folk stuff, which I do when it comes to late 60s and early 70s white music other than rock😂, but for the acoustic stuff or emotional stuff the Final Cut… cuts deep in a way. Mayhe not the same way as Obscured by Clouds or The Wall, but that’s what I like about them, they present hard topics to tackle fairly differently between albums by Obscured by Clouds, and I’d say that’s Roger’s doing since that changed mostly after he left

Rogers truly identifies with the suffering, it shows in his interviews too. When I go to sleep at night in a warm comfortable bed I think how many Palestinians children could sleep in it. Instead they suffer in the cold hungry , mutilated, suffering the loss of all and not knowing what further hell will happen. Palestinians will all come out either physically or mentally broken.

To say this is beautiful or to give kudos seems "wrong" At First... The sheer horror of a Child one minute full of innocence and light and in an instant matter of seconds be thrown into total sensory shock...Buried Alive Under Tons of Concrete and Steel. The thought of their suffering, the terror, the agony, alone and afraid. Those that are left behind to live and survive through the horrors being felt need Comfort, Remembrance and Hope Ahead. So for this I can say "Beautiful... Kudos To The Heart That Gave Us These Words" Never Forgotten.
