I hope Gilmour and Waters can reconcile at some point in their lives before they pass. Edit: I have found out that all members did play together again for a great cause (Live 8) in 2005. The music's original working title was "The Violent Sequence" an instrumental piano piece that Rick made for the film Zabriskie Point (1969) but the piece was rejected by director Michelangelo Antonioni for sounding "too sad" for the scene. It was later resurrected during the Dark Side of the Moon recording sessions and became Us and Them.

During this particular performance of Us + Them, I remember being in tears, completely blown out by it, and at some point I looked at the stranger to my right, who also in tears, and we both said at the same time: "unbelievable". Us and Them is only attributed to Wright for songwriting credit. So I assume he wrote almost all of the music here. Though the final production (adding effects and mixing) was Waters/Gilmour.
