this is incorrect. Chavez actually had the economy humming 5 years after he was elected. It's the US sanctions that have tanked the economy. If you look at a map, you'll see that most people live in the north near the sea. Most of Venezuela has a tropical climate, but not all. Near the city of Merida you can even find snow.

Their actions in the end show us that many of them are carefully selected, supported and committed to lobbies of all kinds, which is why there are so many mediocre authorities, because they are the ones who lend themselves to those games. Dear Roger, I was fifteen years old when the black cover of a vinyl album with a triangular prism (which was turning a single beam of white light into a rainbow, on one side and on the other side of the album, the green spectrum beam representing the heart, also kept the heartbeat) caught my attention. I then decided to use my monthly allowance to purchase it. It turned out to be an investment into a “Mind expanding experience”. I learned then about “Time and All the colors you like”, “pipers at the gates of dawn” “Madcap Laughs”, “Great Gigs in the Sky”, genius mad poets and then…politics and polarization. Ruptures… and then, ”Green is the colour” was no longer keeping the heartbeat, green was no longer the color of love, but instead of geed. Suddenly poetry became preaching politics and radicalization. As much as I’ve learned, enjoyed and appreciated your work with “Pink Floyd” as well as your solo career, (reason for this lengthy reply to your position in regards to Venezuelan politics) I can’t, but express my disappointment after seeing how easily you can voice your very uninformed opinion about a country where you haven’t lived under the conditions of an everyday citizen. A country which, if it wasn’t for its vast crude oils reserves, no one would be paying attention to. A country, where your basic freedom of speech is brutally silenced, no to mention the multitude of other human rights that are being crushed by the current totalitarian alliance (need I mention all the players?). Well, Trump, who is the world’s greatest bluffer, said to… “I’m sure you know who”, that if he didn’t win the November 2024 election he would go to live in Venezuela….bla bla bla!
