Saw him twice, many years ago as I am 76. Saw him in Montreal and in Toronto, Canada. So enjoyed. My favourite concerts that I ever experienced. So thankful but so very sorry that those times are now over forever. Thank you Sir for such moving and beautiful memories, I shall never forget. Thank you.

My family lives in Cape Town, an uncle knew Roger Whittaker. This song was played at my uncle's funeral - the context in which the song was used made it all very sadder. A phenomenal and powerful song indeed. Thank you Roger.

I pray these brave men and women are well. You have your countries thanking you for the sacrifice you are making and will continue to make. I hope and pray for you all to return to your homes one day. To those who will never return home, I pray you are in Paradise with God!

It would be an honor to have served with you. Though I wouldn't wish Vietnam on anyone. They are some gentlemen out there, just have to find them. God bless.

Sad yet magical. I once knew a beautiful lass who counted this song her favorite of all songs. You must have been here listening, haven't you Karen? Here is a kiss and a smile over the years, wish I'd known life a little better before I met you.
