In addition to being the greatest of all time, Roger is so humble and has such high EQ. When talking about his partner tapping because of back pressure he had to add "because I am heavier than him" as a small token of respect and humility

I agree. Post more narrative videos please. Way more helpful than instructionals. You tell why you do something instead of how. Thx.

Dang Roger is terrifying. Just watching this I can imagine the non stop smothering pressure and feeling of being trapped. It must feel like rolling with a monster.

Patience is a huge part of Roger's success . Beautiful to see

The guy is a black belt and he taps from pressure when roger takes his back.. Imagine how us would feel?😆😆😆.. The greatest ever
@kennylovesbjj4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes guys with lower back issues tap extremely fast in that position, e.g. former wrestlers.
@koslim4 жыл бұрын
@@kennylovesbjj i think 90% of people would tap there with roger in that position..back problems or not

It blows my mind when I see competitors not just beat but completely smash other black belts

The other dude was probably a competitor too! It's just Roger bro. He is the GOAT.

I love the simplicity and the basics, all about the pressure. Old school jujitsu

You mean marshmallow and peanut butter with m&ms choke is not part of the fundamentals? (I agree with you very much though 👍🏼)

Hi Roger, narrative and concept videos. That is very valuable. Concepts over techniques all day. Thanks.

Roger using pressure passing as his bread and butter makes me feel much better about mainlining it in my top game. It's not old man jiujitsu if the best in the world does it.

thank God I have never felt a pressure pass from Roger. There is not enough morphine in the world to help that sort of pain. OSSSS
@runthomas3 жыл бұрын
its not painfull....it is more a case of unstopable,constant pressure which neutralizes everything you want to do
@mikeb.78453 жыл бұрын
@@runthomas that's pain to me lol Psychologically and physically. My teacher does that pressure passing style too and it's a painful drowning :D fun though.
@NoctisCaelus4 жыл бұрын
Can someone explain to me what does exactly mean @1.40 that the guy tapped because of pressure into his back? Is it solely pressure from body weight that maybe prevents the other person from breathing/feeling crushed or Roger tries to e.g. twist the spine?
@ijustwannaleaveacommentony65114 жыл бұрын
yeah, just getting crushed, there was no need for roger to apply a choke or a lock
