Hey Roger& Ismi great video, you guys are definitely brave to go out and ask the tough/awkward questions. I think this will always be a bit of a touchy subject to interview individuals with and for your viewers as well. Knowing how the world is, those who have a preference might not want to come across as offensive, and those not chosen in favor/preference might get their feelings hurt and might make assumptions based on the person's preference. I like all individuals and any woman I find attractive, regardless of where they come from. However, if asked I would say I prefer a woman who is shorter than me (by 4"), she would have dark brown eyes, long black hair, tan/morena skin tone, not too chubby, but not too skinny either, a nice butt and decent sized boobs too 😳. This is just my "ideal" preference, and it just so happens that many filipinas fit this description 😍. Funny thing is, I haven't dated a woman fitting all of the above, I've always gone with the ones I've connected with. With all that said, if she doesn't have a good personality/attitude, none of that matters. It's perfectly fine to have a preference, but if one is too strict with their "ideals," the right one might slip right past you 🤔. But damn, them filipinas are gwapa! 🥰

Roger and Ism, another great video. Can I inject another angle into this? The question is "Do lightening your skin makes you feel whiter and closer to Caucasian people?" In America I see many Filipinas who have married Caucasians and that's ok, but they totally lose who they are to become a part of a larger ethnic group. Some snub their Filipino brothers and sisters because they look too "ethnic". The one Filipina who said that "we look more alike definately uses whiteners. But to each his own, some of us Black guys wouldn't date them either..... My preference. Peace!

They do not lose who they are when marrying a Caucasian. Most Filipine people are of European ancestry as their ancestral roots are from Europe's southern region. The whitening thing is common throughout Asia and dark skimmed people are looked at as lower-class field workers ect, I know that is weird but a fact. I have my 2nd home in the Philippines and know for a fact that most Filipine people do not give rats but about ethnicity.

Hello. I agree with your first candidate as I don't care what colour skin as long as she is perfect...oops i mean as long as we are perfect for each other..😜...also what you might be able to do if the filipina's don't want to answer on camera is to ask off camera and use the information collected and use it for statistical/research purposes only and you can give us the results. @@RogerIsmiVlogs - Roger, since it seems that U R running into these same issues anytime U ask such personal questions regarding Race and or Sexual Preference - maybe U should simply guarantee them that U won't use their real name or show their actual faces - but that you just need their voices and a truthful answer from them and permission to share it with their recorded voices?? U could also have a Waiver drawn up that states U will not use their natural real image only their voices, but that U R not responsible if someone claims to know their voice. And it should state that U R not compensating them for participation and that they agree to that. U both sign it and U ask to look at their identification to compare signature is authentic.Just a suggestion to set them more at ease.

I say that because most Filipinos have been brainwashed into thinking white skin is superior to dark skin. This goes all the way back when the spanish colonized the Philippines for 300 years. The original Filipinos have dark skin. The spanish along with Japanese, Chinese mixed the races to lighten the skin.

The first Filipina I dated was here in the states. We had great chemistry and loved spending time together. Then one day she suddenly ghosted me. Her Filipina friends explained to me that she really liked me, but her family back home did not approve. Her mother warned her that if we had a child its skin would be dark. The Filipina's told me that their culture is obsessed with white skin and the complexion of a child is very important.

What is the picture painted about race relations in the USA to the average Filipina, once that can be answered, you can have the answer to your question? Media houses paint African Americans as none productive humans, if that is what is shown then your answers will be Caucasian Americans and they will be more liked because their crimes are not shown, is the crime of slavery shown. Let's also talk about "Black vloggers in the Philippines", who are very productive in integrating and helping Philippines citizens in need, did one not build a house for a single parent or help families during your last tsunami. Another fact, some Caucasian Americans may not be, your words "white", they might look " white" but in some southern states, if your DNA shows one (1) percent of "black" you are not "white". In your country, the oldest inhabitants of the Philippines by historical facts are The Aetas, Black Philippines citizens who were rarely spoken about until recently, and when they are spoken about, they are referred to as the mountain people, "oh they live on the mountainside", let's forget races or skin color, let's talk about people......might I suggest a vlog on why so many Filipinas are into "skin bleaching" one of the biggest industry there, again another thought-provoking subject, each one teaches one, let's teach each other.

You have to remember, that when America became an imperial power, wherever it had interests in other countries, blacks were always denigrated, denounced, and demeaned to advance the notion of white superiority. Stories abound of white servicemen in Asia telling the women that black men were monkeys, had tails, or had a slew of other unflattering physical characteristics. Lots of untruths and falsehoods about blacks, particularly black men, were ingrained in the minds of not only Asians, but people in other countries as well. Ismi, I know the way you describe yourself, when you say you prefer darker skin, is not who you really are. To say you feel intimidated and lose your confidence when you imagine yourself with a “white” guy, it sounds rather egotistical, dominant and shallow. It sounds like as if you want to be the pretty one and couldn’t accept someone “better” looking than yourself in your relationship. Although, in my humble opinion, a darker skin tone is what makes the Filipinas for us westerners so attractive to begin with, to say you couldn’t see yourself with the most polite, funny, honest etc. person, just because he has a lighter skin tone is dreadful.

I feel you are kind of fumbling and stumbling with this subject. Ismi, you seemed awkward trying to do this. I don't think San Carlos is a good environment for such questions because not great visiting by tourists. That is impression I got from following Calvin. It would be more suited a strong tourist area like Cebu City or Dumaguete where you would find people with more experience with foreigners. For the record I am Blackas is Brother Calvin. And in America, Ismi would be considered Caucasian or Latina all day long. I could imagine you trying to do this subject again but like it has been said, maybe doing different with the camera. Most Asians do not like to say unflattering things about other people. Always filtered. Here in American we know there is a huge difference between Black men and Black women. Black American women are having a serious problem with finding anyone wanting them as wives. Black men are popular with other races, but not Black women (in general of course). Black women are often extremely heavy yet think they're beautiful and therefore demand very fit men. They often rate themselves 8,9,10 when they're 3,4,5,6. They are loud, rude and very aggressive....more masculine than most men. Their demands in a man's appearance and wealth are crazy high...in general. They're basically a nightmare. Their marriage rate reflects the problem.

What I like about the Philippines everybody's Filipino it's a sovereign country no outsiders can just go in there and buy land. You have to either marry or become a citizen to be able to buy land. And that could be very expensive. You have different skin shades in the Philippines. But nobody's saying dark brown light brown people. There's many shades in the Philippines but all of you are Filipinos. People think I'm a Filipino when I go to the Philippines because my shade is light brown. But in America white people will say I am black. Because they want our race to be black and not African descent. Because to say the word black is like offensive. Because they made black bad like the black cat, devil's food cake, the white cake is angel food cake. And many other scenarios that they invent to make black people look bad. But I have a Filipina fiance. She looks just like me. But in the whole nutshell we are all human. There should be no prejudice. I have no problem chatting with lighter skin Filipinas darker skin Filipinas I had no problem.

Having said that though it's no excuse to be a lazy slob. You will maximize your results by getting in the best shape you can, get your teeth fixed, get LASIK eye surgery, get some decent clothes, and get a haircut (it only costs $2 over there).

@@sdickinson5234 You made some good points, I would only add, get a shave if you have facial hair. I have heard in many video's Pinay prefer clean shaven men. Also shave your manly-hood and use a good quality deodorant under those clean shaven smelly armpits. You might want to also shave your chest and back if they are particularly hairy.
