Friend, if you compare what you’ve gone through with the hot Philippines climate, waiting in line all day long at the bank, neighbors knowing your private business, different meals with lots of rice, English being used differently that what you’re accustomed to… things will be great. The list of different country things I wrote-to me- is not bad at all. I’ve just heard that some Western men have difficulty adjusting. I think the most difficult part will be: how do I choose a girlfriend when each one wants a 1:1 no-cheat situation ? I also want a no-cheat situation, honestly. But the first nice woman you meet might not be the A#1 perfect fit for you. Maybe she is someone you’ll meet after one year of being in the Philippines. In my experience, Filipinas are loving and caring. But I met her through her factory job being close to my job: no online dating, no scamming.

very interesting topic. married and separated doesn't mean she's available to remarry or date. the ex can press charges against both the foreigner and her for cheating. never "assume" everything will be ok. if that foreigner wants to marry her, what steps does she need to do in order to proceed with this foreigner. FYI ... that foreigner better keep her at arm's length until she is unmarried.

Personally my niece, I just wouldn’t be interested in a woman who wouldn’t do all she can to improve herself. Not judging her by any means, do what you have to do you can provide for the kids, within reason… but how can she ever expect to be better or provide better without education to a different career?
