@charlesyoung9980 in what part of California are you talking about ? A friend of mine lives in northern California on 3 acres of land for less than $1,200 per month. She lives in a rural area....partly off grid. There are scores of places in California and North America where you can live affordably if you have the right life style and know your geography.
@user-tm1dk3ph1q11 ай бұрын
I live in a very rural area now. Yes, you can probably survive on $1200/month, but just barely, as long as nothing goes wrong. But if you don't have a roommate or 2, you will be living in a 50 year old single wide, a camper trailer with a tarp on the roof, or a 150 year old house, and all of these will be in really bad shape. That's why all these broke expats go to the philippines with their $2000 or less per month incomes. "In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king"

This is the only Filipino channel I subscribe to. Other channels are pretty much either click bait or stuff about sex while some female is in a bikini or scantily clad outfit designed to get likes. This channel stands out because you (Pea) ACTUALLY care. And I love brutal honesty. That's the only way I roll. Probably why I like this channel so much. And as someone who practices as much of the Bushido Code as I can (I was raised by Japanese and Japanese Americans). I'd definitely be happy with a Filipina female should I be lucky enough to find one. Older women or younger than myself (43 years old) doesn't matter. And even if I didn't find anyone, I think I'd still feel at home somewhere in the Indo-Pacific region. Because of THIS channel, the Philippines seems much more desirable to me the more topics you bring forth. Great job, Pea! You're most awesome!

One of your best blogs Ms Pea. The advice these two beautiful ladies shared holds true all over the world. If people think just physical attraction and youth is going to keep a relationship glued together over time they are sadly mistaken. You have to have similar interests, goals, chemistry, sense of humour, trust and the list just goes on. No two people are the same but the number one ingredient that I take home from this vlog is ‘communication.’ Something that you excel at in all your videos. I’ll be in Dumaguette in two weeks! I think the ladies were absolutely correct in their views. I am glad, Pea, that you had interviewed more mature ladies. I am sure there are many western men interested in such women. I think you had two of opposing natures, the woman in red which seems to be more extroverted, and the woman in black being more reserved in nature, which gives a wide parameter of choice for the western male. Knowing you, it was done by clever design to give a better idea of the width of range available to a larger portion of your audience. I liked this interview, as it gives the more mature ladies a voice in an area which they are often ignored on the majority of channels.

I don't think many foreigners would want the responsibility of being with an upper class woman. Upper class in the Philippines means, to me, being involved in the barangay, friendships and connections with local politicians, police, NBI, military officers, etc. Sponsoring festivals, pageants, and so on. It would be a lot more work than most would bargain for.

This is pretty accurate. Filipinas do tend to be social climbers, but it's also something they cannot easily escape. My wife was poor as a girl, but 20 years later, she is far and away the best off financially in her extended family. She has a good eye for bargains in lots or farm property. However....lol. We are expected to sponsor this or that...the mayor or police chief....most of whom have received campaign "Contributions"...lol but of course, my wife might call them for favors...lol....that's the Philippines. Me- I just want to get on my scooter and go for a ride.

This is a good change of pace, Miss Pea! It's always welcome to see older Filipinas, who may be interested in meeting foreign men. While the young ladies are certainly beautiful and attractive, I know I would rather find an attractive woman who is closer in age to myself (I'm 63). Don't get me wrong. What older man wouldn't feel especially validated by a young lady choosing to be with him? And I recognize that many young Filipinas are more mature for their age than a lot of western girls, but I think it would be easier to relate to someone who is older. The mature and classy women have experienced more of life and would likely have more in common with us mature guys, so there's a better chance of a good connection between us. I hope you'll be able to find more ladies of this caliber to come on your vlog and willing to share. They provide a refreshing perspective and broaden our views on Filipinas in the Philippines. Welcome back to 8:00 AM! So glad you've recovered from your New Year's partying.😵💫 jk! Have a lovely weekend, and see you on Monday.🥰

Pea: Miss Angel hit the nail right on the head. Get to the Philippines first, fall in love with the country, then and only then can you find the place and the person who is right for you. I know that is not exactly how she said it, but in retrospect that is the way I see it. Also they talked about wealthy and not so wealthy Filipina dating a foreigner, but I don't really think there is a real difference when it comes to matters of the heart. Sometimes you just can't put aside the beating of the heart for someone even if it is culturally seen as slightly taboo. Sometimes you just can't stop the magic of true love. Miss Angel talked about people bringing their bad manners, baggage, and problems to a new country and expecting more of the same where they travel to. Now please don't get me wrong, I'm not a devout religious person m however I do believe in a higher power. Having said that, I believe that God tried to teach us and remind us to leave all the crap behind us by putting our waste disposal system in the back! When you enter into a new situation, you should leave all the useless garbage behind you and move on.

My happiness is not going to be affected if I have to wait in line or I stub my toe in a pothole or the restaurant can't serve what's on the menu that day. I'm looking forward to getting to know the community I retire in and just enjoying life.

This is one of your most informative Blogs. I knew there were women like this, but I had no idea how to connect with them. I am a well educated man who enjoys lively conversation. I have a little money and can live comfortably in my home in the US that is paid for. Or live comfortably in the Philipinnes if that is desirable. What is most important is the common goals in life. What is important to me needs to be important any companion of mine.

Very interesting and mature perspectives! Wonderful interview too Pea! They both express themselves very well, and they both know what they want in a companion... The skill of deep communication with another person is becoming rare. It requires listening and truly showing interest, which also requires honesty... Unfortunately, that is also becoming harder to find... Thank you Pea!🙂♥️

Put this interview next to most of the other interviews you've conducted and you immediately see the difference, Pea. This is a different class of women - and I don't mean to put women from lower social classes down. I expect a lot less nagging and tampo from women like this. If they want to say something, they will say it instead of sulking. They are in charge of their own life and they won't take excrement from any Tom, Dick or Harry! But as a foreigner you have to remember that, if you want to find a woman like this, you will have to go fishing in a totally different pond. The pond of 20-year-old Filipinas with no education, no money, no future and a whole family tagging along to pick up some of the crums they may be dropping on their way to perceived richess is very big. Actually it's not a pond but rather an ocean. That's why it is so easy for foreigners to find a Filipina. However, the pond where you can fish for ladies like Glenda and Angel is small and exclusive. It comes with a membership card and a golden fishing permit so to speak. You have to move in circles that are not so easy for foreigners to get into. Compare it with moving to Hollywood and saying: "I want to marry a famous movie star". Little chance of that happening! If you are looking for an upper class Filipina, you will find that it is a reverse market. They are the ones who get to choose. They don't need us financially, they are not impressed by our $2K pension and they will look for high quality character treats rather than our financial status. Both women were very diplomatic in their answers, but if you read between the lines it is obvious that they are not going to fall for the kind of Joe who is running behind his kiddy-maker.

Excellent interview and insights to consider Pea with regard to dating in the Philippines. I have served in the military and travelled and trained all over the world during my service except for the Philippines. It is refreshing to find the ladies in the Philippines of any class to be grounded and honest in their beliefs and values. Nice to see Glenda again and also for you to have introduced Angel. Upper class or lower class as long as the lady in question is loyal, loving, respectful, and kind what more can any gentleman ask for. They have to like dogs and cats though.🤣

I'm a financially stable and educated American woman about the same age as these women, and I'm not that much different from them 😂. I don't know why western men think Asia is full of magical women. At this mature age, we are basically the same the world over. And at this age we are essentially looking for activity partners, companionship and compatibility without drama. We don't need your money.

Ms Pea, awesome video these ladies are amazing very intelligent their needs and wants are very reasonable. And as far as pets are concerned I have 6 dogs. I agree with Miss Angel no need to jump into a relationship right away. For me I always have to be with someone who is intelligent, enjoys life and is self sufficient I’m not rich I am genuinely generous to family and friends but I don’t like to be taken advantage of. So I prefer that my partner has her own means of support. Again awesome video from 3 beautiful ladies 🌹🌹🌹

You are so wrong. Perhaps you live somewhere beside America. But most American women are horrible. Yeah, there are a few good ones. But the best girls get married in college and stay married. The body counts on girls in there 20's and 30's has ruined them. They cannot pair bond. They have sex with men who are the 9's and 10's, so they think they can have a marriage with that same type of man. No. So they settle for marriage with men they don't respect, divorce him and take half his stuff. That is a horrible woman and that is the norm now. Not so in the Philippines.

Go to Baguio most of the Filipinas in relationships with foreigners are pretty close in age. I am not talking about vacationers but people that live over here full time. My wife and I were one of the widest age gap couples at 20 years.
@Galahad5411 ай бұрын
@@JDWard-Jeepster I noticed that. Baguio has one of the highest percentage of young single women in the Philippines, but almost zero of the young women on the dating sites are from Baguio. They are there to get a university education, and the ones from poor families will be looking for OFW or call center work to support the family and get more brothers/sisters a college degree in something useful. In Cebu, a much better chance of meeting someone who wants to finish university but ran out of money, or call center employees (college degree), waitresses (college degree), or small business women (any level of education).

Hi, Pea! Like many men who tried meeting women online, I've already been the target of many women who tried to scam me out of money. I tried 8 different websites,, and they were all disasters. So I've dropped the whole online romance thing. But I think it's great that you occasionally bring up the dangers of trying to meet women online for your viewers who've not had my experience. Please keep doing so. "Second chance at love"? I haven't had my first chance yet. 😆 I like what was said about finding someone with whom you click, especially meeting a woman at cultural events and places like an art showing. I'm an artist, so I would like to meet someone with similar interests so that we have something in common. An art show, a book store, a music store, a quiet and uncrowded cultural event (I don't like crowds), etc. Another great note brought up by your guests: conversation. I love a good conversation. Sharing ideas/opinions, talking about how your separate days went, etc. However, like Angel said, silence can be good, too, just enjoying each other's company in "companionable silence." Thank you for another great video, Pea! As always, I'm looking forward to your next video. Be well. ❤

I hope to come to the Philippines sometime this year and see if I like it and could make a permanent home there. If so, after moving there is when I would look for a relationship

Pea, it was so nice to get the viewpoint of these two beautiful, intelligent, mature ladies. They are spot on when they say don't go there and rush into a relationship. The culture may be different but, people are by and large the same. We all want to be loved, valued, and respected. Find someone, in person, who shares your views and passions. interesting, when I talk to Filipina they tell me that the reason they like foreigners is more because they are kind loving and loyal in different ways then local men. There are of course exceptions. Many provence Filipina don't need much financial help, they are looking for stability in the relationship. They say many Filipino men live at home and are more connected to their mothers and foreigners are more connected to their wives.

The Philippines wasn't even on my radar as a place to visit, then I heard Dumaguete mentioned in another video. I was curious and typed it into the KZbin search and I stumbled across your channel. The next thing I know, I have binge watched half your channel, been looking for land in the Philippines and researched the material properties of rice straw to see if it can be used as an eco building material. You don't have hay balers in the Philippines and the amazing Gracie says I can't buy land as a foreigner. So that was the end of that dream 😢. Oh well, I'll keep watching your channel anyway because it's fantastic. Keep up the good work, because when you overtake Mr beast, I want to say I was watching when she only had 270k subs. But you can't own a controlling interest in the corporation. There is no legal way a foreigner can own land or a business here. Your Filipina spouse can, but you cannot. You can, however, get a long term lease on land for 25 years and then build on it. You own the house, but lease the land. Or you can have your Filipina spouse own property but she gives you an exclusive special power of attorney for all legal acts involving the property, so it can only be sold or leased by you. I'm not sure how that would hold up in court.

One of the reasons I like your vids is your grasp on English sarcasm and innuendo that always gives me a good chuckle…;). The more mature ladies I have met in Ph have a more developed sense of connection and understanding that make any kind of relationship with them a valued pleasure that’s hard to beat. They make it very easy to be yourself if you’re a kind caring fella and reciprocate with matching and likely more kindness than you put forth without there being any cost other than you continue to kind..
