I marched at Benedict 2006-2007, then NSU from 2008-2010...I'm from Columbia so I raised around the 101 and got nothing but love for the 601. I appreciate the work you brothers are doing KEEP IT UP! The Legion is BACK!

Man one thing is for sure, Norfolk State was deep up in that thang mane. I myself was impressed because i hadn't seen them since i marched back in 00-03, so it was good to see that after those struggling years they brought themselves back to reality and may be a problem for other meac bands this season.

Norfolk (Spartan Legion) style and sound is not for everyone, but thanks for always showing them Legion love... I always loved our odd years anyway, but 2010 was probably their last year everyone noticed them, but they never went anywhere ... they're still rebuilding the best way they can since the had to adapt to situations that happened around 2011... I'll love to see them keep growing...love the critiques!

the thing about the Legion is their size is not relative to their performance level, the sound might change because there will be more horns but not the level of performance. Personally I love mid-sized versions of the band they work well whole show-wise. The stands are another thing entirely :)

Damn Norfolk is the best sounding band in the Meac so far. I don't see any horn holders and its musicality in downright ridiculous. I wish you band heads would lose the pride and enjoy this music. Guess what... they need don't need fancy recordings like some bands in order to sound good.

Listen here. Call mom. We went against Norfolk state when they were in the CIAA in the early nineties When I was at Winston-Salem state as a music major ( This was pre red sea of sound.). They were ridiculous. They were ridiculous Then, And they're ridiculous Now! .I have a lot of respect for the band Program..

Ok SU y'all are definitely the Human Jukebox but make no mistake about The NSU Spartan Legion are some head bussas. 3 bands I love SU, TENN St and NORFOLK.
