I absolutely agree, dual trades are great. For myself being able to frame, drywall, tape and do ceilings I can eat up a huge chunk of the contracts making me really great money. Good show Roger!

Hey Roger, Was working as a butcher for 7 years. Now at 27 i am just finishing my 2nd week as a first year apprentice in Canada. I am feeling a little overwhelmed at times but its getting better by the day. Precvously had very little experience in trades or even using tools/powertools. Your videos help me out, and really show me how much i have to learn. Day by day.

I started plumbing at 26. Didn't know a damn thing. Guys hated me cuz I didn't know shit. After a few months they saw I was learning. I always jumped into the shitty situations other guys didn't want to do, which made me more valuable to them. I'm starting my 4th year next week. You can dooooo theeeeeeees. What kind of plumber are you? Service, commercial, new construction residential?

Roofer+Electrician+Solar... would be able to do everything from the solar side... but also know how to do it to keep the roof minimal damage. Or if the panels need to be moved, how to repair the roof so it won't leak. Add in tree removal... the ability to repair a solar-equipped roof following a tree falling on it :)

I've got my residential plumbing cards and I've been helping my dad (carpenter/general contractor) do some remodels. Being good with tile/general construction and plumbing can really help sell on bathroom/kitchen Remodels.

This is good advice. I myself started out in electrical and then went over to doing HVAC. The shoo I work in we do HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and a little bit of plumbing. My goal is to get at least my electrical and HVAC license. I would like to also get my plumbing license as well. Thanks for making the video Roger.

From a combo local . Got both cards and medgas and a certs in stick , tig and little bit of MiG . Like you said , work is been non stop no matter busy or slow. it’s been a trend that more people are interesting to try something different and leaning more and it usually will be rewarded with more work and choice of works .

It seems that it's way more common for plumbers to train to also do HVAC in northern areas that have more residential and light commercial boiler heating systems.

@@realSamAndrew Other trades, when we need to figure something out. Like having drywall removed. From what I understand it means “I need” and with enough hand gestures it gets the job done. Should I learn Spanish? Probably. Should they learn English? Probably. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. Job is done and we’re all happy
