This Amazing Man Made My Dying Father’s Dream Come True ! After Writing Telling Him My Father Was A Massive Fan, He Wrote To My Dad, Gave Him Videos, Signed Pics & The Letter Was Amazingly Thoughtful. My Dad Was 46 & I Was 17. He Told My Dad To Watch The Des O’Conner Show & Changed His New Song For My Dad’s Favourite, The Last Farewell. My Dad Was Over The Moon. That Was 1988 & I Understand Why My Dad Loved Him So Much. R.I.P The Both Of You’s !!!

😢 Wow same as my Dad on his deathbed 1993 pancreatic cancer...The Last Farewell was MY Dad's favorite all time song too! He had a window room in the hospital and there WAS a ship rigged and waiting in the harbour at dawn's early light and my Dad slipped away peacefully. Peace 2 U from just another human who knows the unparalleled heartbreak of losing a parent!😢

@@alesakline1168Mine did as well. I listened to country music and still do. However, even in my youths if I heard other music I liked I would listen to it and not be embarrassed when my friends found out. I'm glad my foster parents were fans of his because I also became one in the 70s. Still today at 65 country music changed but I don't call today's country, country at all. Music like Roger's Whittaker never changed from when I was young. So that's still my go to music.
