This is just what I've been looking for albeit at the top end of my budget. As well as RE I will have many other uses such as precise control of Macro and Product photography as well as Pano so I've just gone ahead and ordered one. Thanks Nathan.

Thanks for showing this. I’ve been waiting to afford something like this. This one seems great and more affordable. I’ve been using my 360 pano head shooting real estate with a 3 shot method and quickly balance the shot in the stitching software.

I have been using this head for at least a year now. I like that it's compact and lighter than probably all other geared head options ... at least that I'd consider in its place. I also agree that it's particularly well constructed. Agree too that the swivel base locking lever is a missed opportunity to "save a layer." I don't attach the pano head, and live with it instead as-is. I get by. My biggest gripe is that using the head alone (sans pano attachment) the camera base plate is too difficult to slide in and out with the locking pin as you've described. Instead, I rotate it 90 degrees, defeating the locking feature of the base plate. I center the camera atop the head with my fingers on either side, and wiggle the body as I clamp down the locking screw. I have yet to figure out why the base plate doesn't slide into the Arca style top more easily -- at least w/o the pano attachment - causing me to perform this work-around.

Great Video Nathan I’ve been shooting Real Estate Photo and Video with the 410 Jr for 2 years now and it’s starting to fall apart, the Manfrotto plate is just god awful as well. I was considering the Arca Swiss D4 or buying the Leophoto/Sunnywayphoto knockoff, but I went with the RG1 for the precision and ease of use shown here. The smoothness for Video panning was just a bonus I can’t wait to try out. 🙏

Thank your for this great review! As I've seen, Rogeti has a cheaper pan head which doesn't seem to be geared. Would this be an option to get rid of that extra layer, which just turns the camera mount by 90°? What do you think about that (cheaper) setup, if the pan doesn't need to be geared as well?

Fantastic video Nathan so well done. I've been using a Manfroto 410 for a few years now and it was a game changer for me. I shoot roughly 200- 250 properties a season/year. Do you think the Rogeti would be a little bit faster getting your shots on the level. I spend a fair amount of time trying to get my shot as level and straight as possible. I try to avoid correcting my verticals in software if possible. You are the man and a inspiration. Ive learned alot from your books and videos, Thank you.

Thanks! Any geared head would help with that, but the more accurate the better. However, as I point out in the video, it might not be as fast as the Benro, but it will be more accurate. Speed though is a small nit, and may not be a factor once you get used to using the Rogeti.

Hi!, very cool video. I didnt't find too many review videos about this geared head and I find it very usefull to consider buying this. Thanks for that. I have some questions about the maximum weight capacity of this head. The MKII version specifications says that can upload up to 12Kg. I usually shot with a Linhof Master Technika and with a Pentax 67 medium format camera. I currently have a Manfrotto 229 3D Super Pro that can upload up to 12Kg too and I didn't find any issue during using my large or medium format cameras with it. Do you know if it would handle well this type of equipment? I am looking for a precise and fluid tripod head. I love de gear head systems and my dream is to have an Arca-Swiss C1 Cube, but it cost a lot... Maybe some day, in the future. But I found the Rogeti's gear head can maybe do the job quite good and precise. So, maybe you can tell me more about the load capacity of this head and If you think that will handle with zero problems a 4x5 large format camera kit, like a Linhof Technika. this seems to have a wide range of motion but i think the head itself is too tall especially with the additional geared panning attachment.
