That reminds me of riding up and down the hill in the car as a kid when I lived in Crestline.

Roger, If I understand correctly, the GMR ride is about 26-miles up, recharge wheel, then 26-miles down. Your speed looks to be consistently 40+mph. Am I correct that you were getting low battery beeps at the end of each 26-mile leg of the trip? . Thank you

I wasn't getting low battery beeps on the way up. The way down, we went a longer route and I managed to kill my battery then.

@@roghaj Thank you. I get about 42-miles on my Sherman-S before I start getting low-batt beeps at 20% battery and 30+mph. EUC World records my S's top speed at 43-mph and Average Riding Speed of 28-mph. I can afford an L, but I am concerned I will be trading a little more speed for significantly less range. I would really appreciate your thoughts on that. I would love to know your top speed, average speed, and distance on that ride down the hill when you got the beeps at the end of the ride. Again, thank you. PS: I know you are way faster than I am, but I am 71-years-old, so I plead old age. ... Ride well 🙂

Ive gotten 65 miles with 45% remaining doing a " cruise" ride on my L... it is easy to kill the L within 40 miles if your riding uphill the whole way and constantly doing 40-50+ @donj5532

I've been watching your videos for three months trying to determine if I want to buy a EUC.... I currently ride a Wolf King GTR and 22 Suzuki Hayabusa. My main EUC fears are EUC's aren't fast enough to escape being run over by distracted people in cars and trucks. Most of the time you have to ride on the shoulder or edge of the road where sharp objects reside which can cause you to have a Duff tire. The cutouts... Two erase 80% of my EUC fear, I believe you should design a new type fancy EUC roller shoes, boots or detachable roller soles where the small wheels rest inside the foot pedal holes perfectly without permanently locking your shoes or boots into the foot pedals. If you're about to fall or crash you could put your foot or feet on the road while in motion and not have to worry about flipping or rolling on the asphalt. I'm thinking marble size wheels or ball bearing patterns on the bottom of the EUC shoes or boots with small rubber stoppers at the front and back to assist in stopping in the event of emergencies. Rows of tiny ball bearings built into the shoe soles or ball bearing shoe soles that attach to the bottom of any shoe. Regardless I believe you should be able to put a foot down or both in the event of a cutout vs having a cutout or unexpected fall and doing a Charlie Brown on the asphalt. The ball bearings have to rest inside of the foot pedal design without touching. or small metal platelets on the bottoms of shoes that can slide on asphalt. Regardless i believe you should have the ability to put a foot down that will slide and keep you upright in the event of possible falls and cutouts. EUC's should be able to do the maximum speed limits if you're going to be riding on the highway. All EUC'S should have tire air pressure sensors! That should be a must. When the tire pressure drops by two pounds a beep should go off. At this point if I were to purchase a wheel it would be the ET Max. Keep doing what you do and please try to be careful which I know you will not do. Oh and tell Dawn one day if I decide to buy a EUC I'm going to fly over there from Maryland and ride with her on EUC'S in the rain to her favorite fast food restaurant to buy cheese burgers. Lol

-or a emergency pedal lowering system. Fabricate miniature rollers in/ underneath the pedals. In the event of a cutoff or tire deflation the pedals lower down to the asphalt keeping you and the wheel perfectly upright until able to stop?

I would recommend the Sherman L without any doubt. Without hesitation. I’m presently riding the Lynx, which i absolutely love this wheel, but the sherman L has significantly greater range, still lightweight (extremely lightweight for the range its capable of) and has absolutely incredible suspension (just like the lynx) cheeseburgers sound great, as well as riding in the rain! i would opt for the impossible burger if available, and air fries(essentially baked fench fries, rather than cooked in oil/grease. My only reluctance in buying a sherman L now, is that i may wait for Leaperkim to bring us a 200+ volt 4400 to 6000 watt hour capacity battery. preferably of a more advanced battery chemistry which would not significantly increase the euc weight, yet permit absolutely outstanding range. Several hundred miles range is an absolute necessity, or a dream come true, to me. note: i like your ideas about safety, great work!

I also 100% agree with your viewpoint/perspective on euc speed requirements. to be able to achieve speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. not just spinning the wheel in the air (free spin) but actual road speed. this capability, could significantly reduce the high speed cutouts that euc riders experience at speeds above 50 and 60 miles per hour. this would not mean that everyone needs to ride at 100 miles per hour, but rather, riders to easily cruise at 50 and 60 miles per hour without the cutout risk that is presently experienced by euc riders.

He has a chin mount (you can see the shadow at the beginning of the ride). It's a good point of view but for sure, if you have a fall, the camera is in the prime spot to be scratched.

All of mine have stayed in place just fine, yet can bend in a crash and just put back into place. Was concerned the large pidzoom was going to have more drag and end up moving around, but nope. Love it. Prefer to mount mine to the right side of sun visor, in line with the front most brim. At this position I can see over my backpack when seated.
