thank you for sharing, I love this song, that song is really hard to sing by any man but he did it. Quite a trooper, very talented, too.

Todd Rungren can still out sing a lot of you out there. Everyone knows that getting old sucks & he deserves the respect, regardless! PEACE!!

His mistakes are totally forgivable here.. They add a little charm to it! Haha! Needless to say.. This song transcends time and I play/ sing the studio version in my car often! I think it's absolutely perfect!

For some of us this is an incredible performance. If he was just starting out, yeah, not so good. But this is an experience with the audience. Hear their applause of support. I know that playing your own originals are the most difficult to remember because while you were writing it you left behind a lot of options. Also, I think he's paid his dues by all the work he's got out there.

Stop getting angry at him, he's a grandpa. With great music. Don't expect him to sing his heart out. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I'd like to see you have a successful career as he did. Deal with it, dudes.

0:12 ^ Hello it’s me, I’ve thought about us for a long long time. Maybe I think too much but something’s wrong, there’s something here that doesn’t last too long. Maybe I shouldn’t think of you as mine🎤🎶

A lot of classic rock musicians maintain a very high caliber of quality when playing old classics like this. Todd Rundgren looks totally burnt out here. I saw the Ringo Starr Allstar band concert tour last year, and Rundgren was probably the weakest member of the band. By the time the tour got to where I saw it, Rundgren was no longer playing Hello it's me. Now I'm thankful he didn't include it.

It's funny to see Todd struggling with this song. I think I speak for all bar band musicians when I say "Payback Is A Bitch!!"

So this isn't a great representation of where he's at in his illustrious career but to say he doesn't have it anymore is just showing your ignorance. You're clearly not in touch with what he is up to with the incredible music he's released and a series of amazing performances in recent years. Maybe you should look at the big picture vs. one song.

geez, when my band played this, the bass player and I just missed ONE change ONE time and the drummer threw his sticks at me and the singer publicly excoriated us on the mic--now, EVERY kid "gets a participation trophy." Can you even IMAGINE what meticulous Donald Fagen thought when he worked with Todd on "Tin Foil Hat"--the HORROR, the HORROR.....Apocalypse RIGHT NOW.....kinda makes you wish he WOULD just "bang on a drum all day." DO NOT3 go anywhere NEAR tuned instruments, Todd...puh---lease.

This is clearly a comment from someone who has not kept up with Todd and his music. Granted, this is a poor performance and I didn't see the Ringo tour. Putting those aside though, I'd argue that the music he's created and touring he's done in the last 10 years is nearly as brilliant as his early 70's peak.

I love Todd, and this has been such a great song for such a long time. But, man, he butchers this version. Only live musicians and live entertainers know how difficult it is to perform and screw up and try to save it. Still love you, Todd.

I've always liked Rundgren's music, but folks, this is about as big a disaster for a professional performing musician as it gets. I'm sure he normally does a lot better, but call it what it is. It's sad that everybody cheers for everything and anything without any standards anymore.
