Great news! I finally did it! I beat book 1 but man it was no easy feat. It was really taxing on the noggin and was probably sometime like my fiftieth attempt...I used a Dracula Unleash the Beast with Fury approach (and a bit of Black Mirror Clumsiness and 7 seven year itch) to pull it off. Wow! What a rewarding challenge, after all. Great game but very mental, there's nothing whimsical about Rogue Lords. It's like chess in a way...

There is no save, just exit the game and it saves, and yes, every run starts from scratch

This game is hard AF! I die in like three battles😭! Even on the apprentice difficulty. The random events can include elite fights too.

Dude, I'm freaking out here! I seriously don't know how to beat those monsters (in the later fifth and sixth chapters) which are wrapped up in worship status where they can only "suffer from loss of HP or SP when vice-versa is brought down to 0" i.e. vulnerable. What the Hell?! Every time I drain either pertinent one, the other still holds strong, by then they're kicking my ass in a fell swoop. It's insane! How do you do it? I thought I had a tight run/strategy with seven years bad luck and the Dracula depressor at full power, alongside Horseman's maxed out + 4 damage shield, for the little good they did me...Can you please make a brief video of you beating those above mentioned road blockers? I'd be infinitely grateful. I've had the game for a week and thought it would be nice to actually complete the FIRST level by the time I get on a plane tomorrow to visit my family across the country and now, half-jokingly, fear the black cloud of defeat shall follow me from coast to coast. Help! (I'm laughing out of disbelief in order to stay sane and keep a clear head.)

I totally understand your pain because after 6 attempts i get these f****** a******* as a submission and i haven't Dracula as my team member because i wanted to try the White Lady.I try to kill the Fanatic in 5 rounds because he makes the other 2 invulnerable for the most of the fight,but they're simply way stronger than you.Anyone any tips for this fight?

I've played 18 hours already and made it Chapter 6 in Book One only once, with a few excursions beyond the fourth one, but man, what is up with the enemies killing you in one shot, out of the blue, going strait to vulnerable and dead with no in between or respite. The game is rigged!

Sooner or later you'll pick up a strategy, but sometimes they kill you with the first blow. And it's very... very... frustrating.

I picked up the game a few days ago and kept dying at first until I figured out a strategy that worked for me. I'm now and book 4 and going strong. I suggest focusing on accumulating Terror and Relics, and synergize your team lineup. And even then there will be times I get lost in some of the quite complicated mechanics. But it's really addictive. Hopefully you'll find a style that suits you.

@@WizardWorm Thanks very much for both your video and this reply; I'm starting to grasp the game's intricacies and mechanics, slowly, but one thing is for sure: you can't rush through! (Learned the hard away over and over.) I actually made it to the boss last night but man he's tough...especially when he recalls his minion back; would you say it's best to get rid of just one of them, then focus solely on Caleb? Also, before even watching your video, I got hip to the killing power of seven years bad luck and depression. Magic is definitely the way to go!

@@ericmoreau4568 headless + bloody Mary + white lady got me to book 2 then, I replaced headless with lilith. White Lady is a super nuker with the right combinations, make sure you always get her relics that make her Tormented skill auto proc + double levels and try to get Tormented level up, and each end turn she pretty much massacres the opponents. Bloody Mary can be fun as well trying to decide who to put her mirror on. There's also Relic that makes all Disciples gain attack each time Lilith uses her free recharge, which ends up them being able to deal massive amounts of damage after several turns.
