yeah, seeing him break down on that last game was genuinely sad even though I was rooting for rogue (bc I play zerg), I can fully understand the stress behind that game when you could potentially win a match and then another to eventually catch up and win the series. and to add up on the stress of being rushed by nyduses and/or cheeses constantly too, because of all the pressure also man, that especially escalates in esports, imagine working super hard on your game as a professional and then losing a tournament by a mere centimeter, I feel bad for him

Zergcraft 2 is a crying shame. Zerg players spam and cheese to win matches against people who have a lot more micro management skill than they do. This game has become such a tragic joke.

there is a clear point where he calculates to kill off the voidrays and sac the defensive army in his base while deploying harassment because Phoenixes can't hurt buildings (unless the opponent is terran and they are flying but that's another issue). Phoenixes vs Zerglings is not a good bid with all the lifts.

Rogue is a truely terrifying opponent to play against, he understands that the game is so old everyone is basically equal mechanically so you are actually playing with psychology. This is why maru and creator gets crushed by him in finals

@@brendonnel6631 lol i play zerg dude. I was a gold terran for 4 years. Then i switched zerg and hit diamond and im now master. Zerg is, 100 percent factually better than both races if played right. There is no counter play against zerg if its played correctly. Early agggression? Too bad i have queens Early rush? Cool i have queens banes and zerglings Mid game aggression? Have fun with my lurkers Air? Cool i have the best air units in the game. Late game? Cool i have the best late game comp in the game. Not only thay but Ergs early tier units are more usable in late game than protoss by far. Our harrassment is unparrelel in the late game with Erg or bane runbys. And our most OP ability BY FAR os we can simply change our armies complete comp in 30 seconds Every other race has counter play even if their played perfectly, zerg is the ONLY race where if you play it perfect, your enemy has zero ability to win.

As someone who hasn't played Starcraft since Brood War in the early 2000's, these casters are truly elite level in explaining detail but still allowing someone not experienced with the game to comprehend what's going on. Also whoever is doing the observing is insane... Two great players battling it out, really exciting to watch

I don't see it as sad. He put everything he had into the competition and he was overwhelmed when the end came. It just shows it was a victory well-earned and a loss by an opponent who did his best. It's the truest nature of competition, and kudos to both parties. What a great series.

Despite demonstrating some moments of mechanical superiority, Rogue's unique strategies crushed him. 3 losses right out the gate is brutal, and each time it was to a completely different method (Nydus rush, mass queens, spine crawler spam).

Obviously both players have insane defensive play against early all ins due to very good micro. I'm pretty sure Rogue knew they could take advantage of any weakness in Creator's early play. I've seen other GSL players try a few all ins against Rogue before (usually fail) but unless someone can prove they can do it in a finals and take at least 1 game off them it's why no one is able to win the tournament easily. I think Dark was able to beat Rogue in a Semi final doing this heaps in a game. Who cares if its also a Zerg. Unless Protoss all ins are extremely terrible vs other races then that would be a problem lol.

i havent played this game in a longgg time and i never got to technical with it like i do with alot of games but whats with zerg "cheese" ? i was always told a long time ago zerg was super aggresive and if you didnt know how to defend or get up defence quick youre gonna lose, so is zerg the strongest team in general or just for early game? or it is at all situational ? idk i dont watch pro sc2 at all, but i get it recommended every now and then so ill watch it and its pretty interesting but idk whats going on xD

Nerfs for Protoss seem to be working well. I guess we should go even further and probes should cost 50 gas on top of minerals - that way Protoss vs Protoss matchup would remain mostly the same but it would make rock-paper-scissors better where Protoss lose to Zerg and Terrans wins against Protoss.

So funny to see those races whine when it comes to “Protoss haven’t won any major tournaments”. I mean yeah Super tournament may not be at GSL scale, but protoss DO win against top Zerg/Terran and won more than any other races by A LOT. And interestingly, in 10 recent GSL’s winner& runner-up, there were 6Z7T7P. Only 2 zerg players :Rogue and Dark 5 protoss players: Stats,Trap,Zest,Creator,Classic 3 Terran players:Maru,TY,Cure went in finales Zerg imba? More like Rogue and Dark imba. If Zerg IS that imba, then where’s other phenomenal Zerg player? Protoss isn’t bad, cuz they do preform well and went to finales, beating up whatever races they met. Whining about balance just becuz “Protoss not winning big tournament ” is just dumb.

I know this is the peak of SC2 performance and not indicative of 99.9% of games, but it is seriously so boring to see Zerg win the second they can get an infestor and a viper out on the map. Balancing units based on how hard they are to use was a bad idea, should have stuck with the rock-paper-scissors model.

Agreed, they are essentially a instant kill unit for a touch of a button. No other race has a spell caster as effective. High templar/ghost have limitations on them that make them harder to use. Festor/viper just throw something out and instantly damage the entire army for 1/3-1/2 the entire armies HP, or causes it to be instantly destroyed due to chaining. You can't chain cast storms/EMP and make them be better.
