do you not find a lower power but higher crit chance to be better ? seems like 70 is easily doable even 80% or so for the 100% after steal ?

Power thief is always a balancing act between 4 stats, power, precision, ferocity, and your HP pool. You could go for higher crit chance but you’d be giving up either power or HP most likely. The common strategy is to see how high you can push potential short term damage while keeping your HP high enough to avoid getting one-shot by whatever the most broken class is at the time.

It’s one of the “exclusive” hairstyles. You can get it with a hair style kit from the gemstone 😉

I have all my builds posted in the description =] If you are talking about the crits on core D/P it’s likely the master tier trait “Hidden Killer”, and just making sure that you keep within the ~2 second window for bursts!

I feel like I'm never going to understand this. Using the same build, having the same stats (pretty much) I do not do nearly as much damage in a fight. Even when comparing just like 2 skills and then auto-hits

To be honest a lot of the damage comes from carefully stacking vulnerability, and boonstripping. A common sword combo is Steal into Cloak and Dagger, then hit them from behind with tactical strike, followed by autos. The initial steal should remove protection if you are running bountiful theft, the CnD adds 5 stacks of vulnerability, and the tactical strike applies 10 more. At that point the enemy should be stunned, have no protection, and take 15% more damage for the next few hits. Following up with the larcenous strike combo (sword 3 twice) instead of autos will rip two more boons, and deal 10% additional damage if they have no boons at that point. (It's also worth mentioning that if this skill manages to steal might, those stacks will factor into the hit because they are stolen before damage is dealt!) The other likely cause of low damage is unfortunately just the Gw2 community mostly running bunker builds and abusing various protection methods... These players don't do much but can also face tank most hits with no consequences. I've started walking away from some bunker fights because thier only goal is to waste my time until 2-6 other bunkers arrive. Its boring to watch and even more so to play against >.< Wall of text, but I hope some of it helps!

@@Rogue-Spectre Sensational, thank you! I've read about some of those things like dagger 5 into 1 or that attacks can apply vulnerability. But nobody ever explained the entire combo in such detail with the conditions added which are needed for it to work! I am blow away. Tried translating a phrase into English that describes the feeling of revelation I had, but it's not possible in a literal way. So l let's say it with this suggested alternative: *It hit me like a bad tomato!* :D Seeing the connections between the individual pieces is maybe what I was missing. So what I'm going to focus on specifically in the future is having an eye on the vulnerability stacks. Thanks again!! :)
