I don't know about now, but I grew up in Lindale, Georgia U.S.A. Where the Pepperell cotton mill was that made all the denim for Levi's from 1887 - 1992 when Slick Willie Clinton signed the NAFTA treaty. The mill was shut down leaving close to 3000 people without a job, and another dead small town. So, at least that's where that tough denim those jackets in the old days came from. At some point every one of my family had worked there. Just a lil history. God bless, and ride safe brother.

It sounds like your NAFTA treaty was as good for you as the opening up to eastern Europe was for us.

Just like all the Lancashire mill towns that used to thrive. There were about 2,650 cotton mills in Lancashire (northwest county of England) in the mid 19th century which employed almost half a million people, producing around half of the world’s cotton. Pretty much all have long gone now...
Thanks Uncle stu, even if you sometimes sound like a grumpy old man, you havent lost your sense off humor!! Perfect!

Eyup Stu. Video editing standards through the roof this morning mate. Laughed me little socks off. Nice un. Jacket looks alright an'all. Housebound over here in sunny Batley for the duration. Awaiting lumber spine surgery, and a new hip !its not been a long wait really, injury was only on 6th july 1995😬( not bike related injuries -I might add !) But stuff has deteriorated to the point of being immobilised now, so your videos are also the nearest thing I get to a ride out just now. My ContiGT535 is safely on optimate in the garage. Keep em coming Stu. Regards to you and your lass. Gazbo

I’m 75 and have always worn adventure/dual sport armored gear. I bought an Interceptor 650 a few months ago and have been slowly adjusting my wardrobe. Seems the retro guys wear little to no protective gear like yourself and Freddy Dobbs. I’ll admit it’s nice not putting on my hot and heavy Klim suit, full face helmet and tall adventure boots just to take my Interceptor on an hour ride but at the same time I’m concerned about my lack of protection. Just recently I bought some Klim Unlimited jeans and Ridgeline boots, these are way more comfortable and still offer at least some protection. Comfort or protection, it’s the riders choice. I’m somewhere in the middle. And yes I wore a denim jacket back in the ‘60s. Keep up the good work.

Great jacket at a decent price, too. I wear a Filson Tin Cloth Cruiser which I've had for eight years. It's a wonderful biking jacket, unlined but sturdy, looks amazing and fits well. The only modification for riding is tucking the collar in to stop it slapping my helmet at speed. The new Filson Cruiser is lined but the UK price is eye-watering.

Funny start to your video Stu. I wonder how many people fell for at least the keyless start bit! lol. Nice jacket. I'm looking to pick up a motorcycle 'RAF Flying Jacket', very expensive but very nice I think. There's also the American GI style longer green jackets that look good and of course the Steve McQueen style leather blouse jacket. All really nice but pricey and probably not as practical as this one and the Belstaff style jackets that you often feature, although the GI style jackets may be worth a more serious look I think.

Like the jacket Stu , not bulky like the usual Motorbike jackets, dont like bulk , but you do need the pockets for storage 😉 I tried my waxy jkt on yesterday ( X L ) but it fitted in the arms but the shoulders were to tight for comfort so thats another one bits the dust , only had it on 3 times , tried my leather one on doesnt meet in the middle anymore , annoying to say the least , think i need XX L size or is that F B size 😂 , its like jeans everything is super skinny , even ones which are labelled loose are tight , must be saving on material or something 😂😅

Thanks for another great review video. While acknowledging that you make no particular claims regarding your mechanical abilities or insight, I would be a bit surprised if you had no tips for performing maintenance on Royal Enfields. I have recently noticed how fiddly the rear wheel installation is on my Himalayan (plenty of parts to keep in place for axle insertion). Perhaps between your tips and ones submitted by your subscribers, a good video of the same could be produced.

Hi Stuart. This may be a silly idea, however have you ever considered doing a comparison between the classc 350 Royal Enfield and the 650. Not the same for sure but looking at them from a daily user friendly point of view. How well each handles a pillion or a run to the grocery store. Even touring. Sometimes when we stand back from pure performance we begin to see things in a different light. Just a thought. Hope all is well.
