arterial flow from ixalan is a very strong card too, 3 mana every opponent discards 2 cards.

Thank you very much for this video. I've been looking for something exactly like this and I thought I couldn't do it but hey, maybe KZbin and not only did you show me a good way but you explained the deck out and I really appreciate it. Thank you so much

Have you added any cards to this deck since this video was put out? I have built the deck and its one of my favourites to play but I'm wondering in todays meta if there are any cards that should be added or if the deck needs more interaction and protection. Any tips you have would be great.

Unfortunately I tore apart all of my commander decks to start fresh and haven't gotten around to rebuilding them. There have been a ton of cards printed since this video that would justify a slot. All big discard spells and of course any elf tribal cards that generate big mana would work.

Can you Target more than one opponent during your upkeep or is it only one cuz if it's only one you're only going to get one token either way but if you can Target each opponent then yeah I can see why this card is good a multiplayer

Looks great, would definitely lime a deck list for the deck. Love black / green and elves
Lol! See you got me back. This was my next Commander video.

Crazy! Both are pretty obscure when it comes to commander.

I've had an on and off again "relationship" with Nath for years. I also never understood why he's not more popular...it's basically aggro/control.
@yaroslavdmitrive15047 жыл бұрын
Great video! I'm a vivid follower and pilot of Rashmi's elven swarm, so this was quite a pleasure to see - i kinda thought about making something of Nath sometime previously and this video did bring that wish to forefront. Probably will call a pair of decks "Leovold schism" :p On another note: do u have any suggestions for Earthcraft replacements? Cause i couldn't really find anything valid. Cryp Rite is the closest i can think of, but it's not even close. And the same question about Attrition.
@roguedeckbuilder7 жыл бұрын
Growing Rites might be ok here, of course this deck could use a cradle, but I am not made of money.

No Howling Mine as well as Temple Bell? Seems the main issue would be opponents having nothing to discard lol. Sweet deck though, wouldn't like to play against it xD.
@roguedeckbuilder7 жыл бұрын
I don't want to give my opponents two top decks! Temple allows me to control when they draw the card.

Wanted to try this, but I see only 30 lands. Missed something? O_o
@roguedeckbuilder7 жыл бұрын
I usually play 33-35ish. Some of the cards I showcased were "optional" or cards I have used. At our store we also have a house rule of "non-land paris" meaning you can reveal your hand, put aside all non lands and draw that many from the top of your deck then shuffle the nonlands back in. This helps avoid "mana screw" and lets you play a lower land count than the normal 36-38 that most commander decks run.
@tashagodspell69607 жыл бұрын
This is way more reasonable XD
@MasterDecoy1W7 жыл бұрын
I'm trying to get the local shop guy to do this (and he seems to like it) but I need a very specific description. If I understand the process goes: -reveal hand -set aside non-lands -draw that many -shuffle set aside cards My question is, can you then repeat the process (obviously drawing one less each time)? Do you keep the scry rule we currently have?
@roguedeckbuilder7 жыл бұрын
It is a one time and if you still don't like your hand you can mulligan to 6 with a scry. We used to allow a "full paris" but combo players were abusing this to find their pieces / tutors / mana rocks.
@egoclosed-fisted26447 жыл бұрын
You had me until you went tribal. So many other key cards that would make this deck shine. Not saying tribal doesn't work but also you would need Bottomless Pit, Lilliana's Caress, Megrim, Oppression, Painful Quandary, Sword of Feast and Famine and why not a Ensnaring Bridge? Definitely need more board wipe too and stuff to protect your commander.
@kero16406 жыл бұрын
I just built a nath deck and didn't go tribal. Focused more on discard and control. Archfeind of ifnir is an mvp in that style of deck.

I go more stax based with cards like Death cloud and Winter orb. Can't cast your spells? I'll help you empty that hand. I also run a few reanimation spells and Craterhoof. If Sadistic Hypnotist hits the field, it's almost always GG.
@jlateralus213 жыл бұрын
Question about Sadistic hypnotist. If I make all of my opponents discard to zero and then my turn ends, can I use Sadistic hynotist's ability immediately after they draw their card for turn, on that card they just drew? Seems broken lol. Just got the combo off tonight and everyone scooped once a player pointed out that I could have them discard after every draw...
@salmonking0073 жыл бұрын
@@jlateralus21 Sadistic Hypnotist’s ability can only be activated at sorcery speed, so your opponents get stuck in top-deck mode. It’s not a lock, but it’s close.
@jlateralus213 жыл бұрын
@@salmonking007 thank you, that's what I thought. It just seemed unfair when they told me I could basically prevent all card draws if I had a creature to sacrifice (with nath+Hypnotist it's nearly infinite). I would've won anyway, but it would've been better had we finished it out and not scooped.
@jlateralus213 жыл бұрын
@@salmonking007 and I clearly didn't read the whole card lol. It's the first time I actually was able to pull of the nath combo and my board was so full of elf tokens and my opponents were so salty that I just took the guy's word for it without investigating myself. It says right on the card! I'm still learning, so thanks!
@salmonking0073 жыл бұрын
@@jlateralus21 Happy to help, and I’m glad you got to pull off the combo! We’re all learning, but you can always check the mtg gatherer for most rule related questions.

Gonna be honest, I don't see the point in building Etali, when it slots well into the superior Neheb. An Etali deck would just be a neheb deck with the damage spells swapped for some bomby spells and library manipulation (insurrection, scroll rack, and top, basically). Neheb starts shenanigans a turn sooner and still like extra combat, so I don't see why you'd build try to make an Etali specific deck.
