This comp is so excellent & interesting. Some athletes trying to make the Games, some already made it but all learning about their competition and themselves. This is the difference in this qualifying format compared to regionals. It’s random and strategic competitors at these Sanctionals and the intensity gets so interesting the closer it gets to the end of the qualifying event calendar. Personally, I love the story of Fraser. He’s been so dominant in the last few years. Killing it, really. Now he gets to have multiple Sanctionals to play at, get feedback on how his training is tracking, throughout the training season, and can prepare accordingly, for the Games. Actually, they all have that opportunity, but I like Mat’s story most. See how friendly and transparent he’s become? CrossFit has actually done a good thing here. I’m only convinced now, after watching this. ✌️
@michaelguest42475 жыл бұрын
This is a fantastic competition but don't use it to justify the changes that have been made to CrossFit by Greg Glassman. Nobody would be complaining if every sanctional had the quality of athletes that this competition does but they don't. Almost every single sanctional has been very uncompetitive and the quality of athletes overall at the sanctionals only proves that other than the top twenty in this sport the rest do not deserve to be at the games.
