Got really into this roguelike hack however it seems to sometimes j ust crash for no reason, sometimes hp and mp values just dissapear and few rooms later it goes black screen. Maybe i'm going to slowly that's why :D

So, I have a bit of a question. for how much the old tier list hyped up the importance of Blues and Yellows over reds, you tend to use your Obyls on good reds first. Is this because of the equipment strip upon the loop, or just the general utility of reds while exploring?

It's a combination of things: 1. Early roguelike weapons are quite bad, especially on Hard mode, so red souls become more important. 2. You tend to find enemies that drop top-tier reds earlier than enemies that drop top-tier yellows. I do often use Obols on Triton & Golem. 3. Rush Souls were nerfed in the roguelike.

Just went through my first hard 2 loop clear and saw weird things happen. Some enemy attacks I expected overkill began dealing minimal damage. Is this some kind of overflow? Difficulty level at the end was 21

I remember the first time emulating was on an old computer at a school computer lab. The thing looks so huge and so old compared to PCs nowadays. So yeah. Go on and try to emulate on your potato pc. It'll work.

They have way too much HP and overkill bump damage in rogue hard Also they have no sound on entry, which can kill a run abruptly

@@JupiterClimb Ayy, nice! Yeah, I guess I have had that skull looming over me the entire time I was playing 4-5 BC in Dead Cells, which is now more than half my total playtime. Return to Castlevania coincided pretty nicely as I'm getting more Castlevania videos related to Dead Cells videos.

You can get the patch from the dev's site and use a utility like Lunar IPS to patch a US copy of the Aria of Sorrow ROM. As for the AoS ROM...you're on your own.

That's what I did for my clear. I had soul eater ring pretty early in my first loop from crazy drops + tsukinoko and by the end of loop 2, headhunter was near as good as the +16 souls lol

Final hit makes a killing blow do increased damage

@@Lawliet31101979 If the buffed final hit were to kill the enemy where a regular hit would not, then you get the buff, and maybe save one hit.

Final Strike means you get a damage bonus if that damage bonus would make the attack kill, it pretty much serves to close the gap on 2 or 3 hit situations where +25 or 50% can change the hitcount, for example, if you normally do 80% of a target's HP in one blow, Final Strike 25% would boost it to 100% and one-shot
