You'll enjoy Arcane! Beyond the story and animation the music was a big part of the series...so much original music that they created for the show to help tell the story. Just a masterclass in visual AND audio storytelling! I listen to the soundtrack all the time and was so happy Linkin Park got in on it! The creator of Arcane, Christian Linke, was in a German rock band/is a musician--- that background and influence really shines through.

When I was 13 I had a frined who had a computer with Internet, which I did not have, and who introduced me to contemporary rock and metal. I found Radiohead, Placebo, Evanescense and etc, whose music really shaped my personality in some way. (This type of music wasn't on radio in mt country) We've been friends for a year with that person but I am still grateful to her for that

Metal has always been an all inclusive anti culture with some elitist gatekeepers! metal isnt saposed to be perfect and pollished, metal should have dissonance, roughness, and crazy vocals like Emily's vocals, because thats the complete opposite of mainstream music. I feel like alot of the hate towards Emily's vocals comes from non metalheads! She is the perfect fit for linkin park, her voice is reminiscent to chesters while also being something completely new and raw! Thanks for the awesome reaction Josh!

"The Offspring" was skater-punk band, not metal band. But they knew, how to use guitars in a cool, metal way.
