The scream length was a concious decision, Mike said so in an interview. Partially, it had to do with the structure of the song (having the scream longer would have interfered with the flow). And he also thought it was kind of a symbolic nod to keep Chester's 17 second scream intact.

One of my favourite quotes i have seen is "She sounds not like Chester, she sounds like Linkin Park" and i feel quite like that. No one ever is going to replace Chester or fill his shoes. BUT in my opinion she and her voice fit in the LP-Sound and so shes not filling his footsteps but i would say she continues them. I think Chester would be proud of her or at least i could imagine that.

Correct it's not a vocoder but the vocals have some kind of treatment with a flanger and that makes it sound like a vocoder, it sounds pretty cool

I say one think Mike and the Band knows exactly what they doing no one ask ths question why from all Vocalists cousen Emely now we have answere. She is Insane on studio and LIve watsh the concert videos from tour oll is on youtube all concerts from tour 2h 27 songs included givin up Keys to the kigdom that song only Emely sing Live and now Heavy is the Crown. but she not scream 17 sec i thing she can do that and more but she respect Casters record. and 12 sec on Heavy is the Crown is insane when you have singing 26 or 25 songs befor ths song comes.

It actually comes from shakespeare but the words are a little different Heavy is the head that wears the crown is an expression made by Shakespeare quote. uneasy is the head that wears the crown It became an English idiom ,meaning that those who wear the crown have a heavy responsibility ,a weighty burden on their shoulder, that make it's difficult to relax ,and feel peace.
