I'm pretty sure they're just actually really good friends. I don't know how she does it, but she makes true friendships with a LOT of artists out there. I swear she has a collaboration every week and sometimes it's not even new collabs.. she has real genuine friendships with male and female artists. Her and Bieber for example. They have a relationship similar to this one with Abel. Bieber credits her with getting him out of his 2 year long performance slump and hiatus. Lady Gaga tells a lot of stories in interviews how Ariana was more than a business partner when they made Rain On Me together and more like a best friend during a time when she needed one. Ariana seems to be the real deal.. an exceptionally talented singer, performer, artist, business woman, and real friend.

They ARE auto tuned. You can hear it throughout the song. Their mics are routed into the mixing board and auto tuned it’s not as obvious as other setups but us sound guys can hear it.
