The story I heard was that Angelina wrote and sang this song at 10yo., If I’m not mistaken. Angelina and her family were getting ready to move to Los Angeles, Cal., (AKA as “The City Of Angels”). This song and this TV Show allowed the opportunity for Angelina to say “Thank You” and “Goodbye” to the people of Norway as she continues to pursue her dreams in America. But I feel it was more, much more than that. I think Angelina feels it is her “Mission” to sing and provide the World with music and lyrics of Joy, Courage and Hope.

My darling, I'm going to say something that everyone feels but is reluctant to say out loud because they believe it is too strong a statement to make. We are listening to God's voice when we listen to Angelina sing. Why do we get goosebumps, why do we tear up (with the urge to cry), why can't we speak correctly when listening to her sing, we struggle to string words together to make complete sentences? Her voice is sprinkled with love and it touches our heart and we can feel it inside us. It is so beautiful and while we are beginning to cry when we listen to her we are smiling at the same time. Her love is inspiring us to be the best person we can be. Kinder, more caring, more loving. One of her dreams is that she wants to do whatever she can to make the world a better place to live, particularly for those less fortunate, and she knows that is impossible unless we (all the people of the world) begin to love one another. That is exactly what she is doing when she sings to us. When we ask ourselves the question, "Am I a better person since I have discovered Angelina?", the answer is a resounding yes! We love her as she loves us and she has become family to all of us. But, it seems to go even beyond that. The feeling that her presence generates inside us is something most of us have never felt before. It's beautiful. Considered to have sung the greatest rendition of this song, Ella was also recently voted #1 out of the Top 50 Jazz singers of all time. It should be noted that Angelina performs it, not in a completely professionally set-up setting ideal for recording but on an outdoor rooftop at 10 years old, only accompanied by a simple guitar keeping time. She stays true to Ella's version with the only appreciable difference being she slows it down. When it is said that 'less is more', that is evident in this performance, for as good as Ella's iconic version was, Angelina's version permeates the human soul more deeply.
