That's the best performance of Don't Look Back In Anger there's ever been. Noel said so. Still talks about it to this day. He's quite a gruff, no-nonsense character usually. He's tearing up at the end of this, though. He's a writer of anthems. Gem, the other guitarist, is also very, very good.

I have to respectfully disagree. I'm sure it is for the band, and is probably the best that *they* performed, but the best performance of DLBIA is the impromptu one by the crowd in Manchester just after the Arena bombing. That is so ridiculously powerful.

What a night it was I was there very close to the stage...I think i cried cos I'm a Oasis fan since 95 I knew things that year were totally bad with Liam and Noel. But I thought they were never going to split even if they fight time to time, I was use to the fights and all. And when he singed "dont put your life in the hands of a rock and roll band" I was in tears for sure. But I was very emotional even if it was my 3 time see them (I went to their gigs in here Argentina 1998, 2006 and 2009).

I wish I at least, had one of my two brothers to play in a band with. Something about brothers, and having the same band. The Everly Brothers from the early rock years hated each other. Died hating the other. The Robinson Brothers from the Black Crowes, also. Only band I can think of without that hate was AC/DC's Young Brothers. I always loved Oasis, especially Noel. Liam once heckled his brother from the balcony during a show Liam wouldn't sing at. Too bad they can't bury the hatchet, instead of wielding it. The lyrics are more than somewhat magical.

An incredible moment in the life of a performer, a creator, I can only imagine. Clearly he's profoundly moved, understandably. They were never my "thing", I belong to a much earlier generation, and thought comparisons to the Beatles absurd, still do, but I came(grudgingly) to recognize, acknowledge the songcraft underlying Noel's best work. Obviously, Liam's gone at this point. I was offered the opportunity to work with an alumnus of an early Toronto female-led punk band in 1980, and declined, electing to continue pursuing my own music. They traveled to South America, obviously nothing like this, but I wondered about it, a little rueful, when they spoke about their experiences when I encountered them a year or two later. Always a treat, Rxyce, you're a very special conduit to the shared magic of music, thank you so much, be blessed - more and more - every day.

The most emotional i think noel sings this song , there is a bit where he looks at the sky to the end , I recently lost my Mom and Dad within a year of each other, so now whenever I listen to this song and sing I look to the sky and think of them ,when I first watched this I didn't really take anything from him looking up , but after they passed I broke down seeing it , it just feels like he looks to the sky for someone he knows who has passed. His interviews always entertain me , they have got me through some tough times. They were there for me in the 90s for some of my best times , and Noel is there for some of my worst times now.

The look on your face… the look on the faces in the crowd… the look on Noel’s face… Tells you everything you need to know about this song and Oasis.

I just got recommended this video. I was a major fan of Oasis when I was growing up in England. As a mixed race girl, (who lived in the south east of England) they aren't meant to the first choice of first musical loves. They got me through some very tough times and they will always have a place in my heart. Manchester lads forever!

An extra layer to this is the fact that Britain and Argentina were at war not long before this. for an Argentinian audience to embrace a British band like this is pretty special. Peace and Love!

I have some very happy memories of being in a pub in central London in the mid 90's (The Anchor pub in London Bridge) when someone put this on the jukebox. The pub was busy. Packed. Absolutely jammed. Shoulder to shoulder on a Friday evening on a hot summer day after everyone had finished work. The whole pub erupted into spontaneous singing. It was magical.

Oasis are my favourite Rock and roll group after the Beatles. Fro me, Noel Gallagher is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Lars Ulrich calls them the soundtrack of his life. Their first two albums are masterpieces and all the others will have the odd gem. Sure they had some disappointing albums but their legacy is intact with over 70 million albums sold.

I was so privileged to see these guys 12 years ago in Manchester just before they broke up and it’s was one of the best gigs I’d been to! The guy singing(Noel) has the most soulful voice, it’s beautiful. Noel sang a song called master plan and I cried, the atmosphere was amazing. This song is an an anthem in the UK x

You get it. Music has no borders. With music, we are all one. I like to think it's because there is a music and a rhythm and tempo to life itself. Time to write some beautiful harmonies. BTW you are correct about Noel being a lefty but playing guitar right handed. That had to be so hard to learn!
