AWAZ had a good sound and tone and their songs were better than Strings imho. Strings have always been one hit wonders. They literally have 5-6 good songs and that's it. But this comment is not on their individual creativity and talent. Individually, Bilal and Faisal are immensely talented.

He is talking about 1991. Awaz's first album was released in 92. Without Rohail Hyatt producing their album and backing them they would not have had the sponsorship from Pepsi. Awaz of course took advantage of the great start.
